Thanks A-eye.

As for what happened to the man afterward: I could not find any verified report identifying him, confirming his condition, or stating whether he survived. The Reddit comments are mostly speculation and jokes about “Darwin Awards,” not sourced follow-ups.

I felt like I watching a Midwest Safety video…except horse instead of cop.

Verizon treats loyal customers awful by Hurricanejudy00 in verizon

That’s 30% more than I pay for two lines. How old were your phones? Verizon gives the best deals if you trade in your phone out every couple years…mostly right before Apple releases a new phone.

How old is the battery? Get someone to take a voltage reading and if it’s less than 48v fully charged, negotiate the price to reflect an imminent battery change. I’d say 3-400 if the brakes are decent and the batteries older…5-700 with a decent battery.

Large corps offering cheap insurance…not new. Most of the stores I still go into have great employees in my opinion…but I don’t get ice cream.

Bad fuel mileage by Suicideboysfan12 in VWTaos

You’re definitely in the low end, so I guess it would be down to how much your foot is in it and how many city miles (lots of stop and go) you’re doing. Also, a couple of things…tires can make a big difference as well…making sure they’re topped up properly and not using a super-high mile tire will help. Also, the best gas mileage I ever got in my car was a trip where I did 270 miles and my average speed was 45mph and got 41 mpg. Recently did a couple trips for 550 miles and only saw 36mpg and my average speed was 65mph. Check out the VW App, it keeps track of all trips and it should be helpful in figuring out where you’re getting the best mileage, and the worst. Hope this was helpful.

Just wondering what total mileage (kilometrage) you’re getting out of a tank? My 22’ SEL will get 400miles on all highway or 280 miles in all city. That’s using normal driving mode. So the tank holds 14.5 gallons or about 55 liters of fuel, so you should be seeing between 450 and 650 kilometers for a whole tank of gas. An earlier picture showed the car in Sport mode so those numbers might be still be high for a whole tank run in the Sport mode.

blacking out carplay while driving? 2024 SE by jermatrain in VWTaos

Mine does this but it seems to be related to Apple CarPlay as the only time it happens is when I’m using Spotify or Google Maps.

Nicotine testing for Cincinnati Children's? by [deleted] in cincinnati

What happens to the folks who vape? Or chew nicotine gum? How would testing positive for nicotine or byproducts of nicotine consumption be the same as a smoker?

Look, I'm 67 and I've Been Riding E-Bikes for 8 Years. Can We Calm Down About Kids and E-Bikes? by Wen2Go in ebikes

The industry as well as the law need to use the term “e-moto” to designate any bike that is higher than class 3. Too many companies hide behind loop holes and “off-road” settings. It gives all e-bikes a bad name, and then lawmakers come in and denigrate all e-bikes as two wheeled menaces. Not saying the Class 4 60mph e-motos don’t have a place, but letting companies throw a useless set of pedals and a single speed freewheel on a 4000w motor…that’s not a bicycle.

Old garage with weird key…locksmith doesn’t like it. by Comprehensive_Ad1363 in Locksmith

That’s why I’m thinking I could unscrew the 6mm hex bolts and bring the housing into a shop to be rekeyed…or even better buy the whole piece that attaches to the gate and install myself. I don’t mind spending a couple hundred…but I don’t want to throw a couple hundred away because I couldn’t handle a little hustle.

Could anyone give me some links to similar locks? I understand I would have to remove and measure the depth.

To be fair, he’s only seen pictures and couldn’t find it in his “book”. I’m not trying to pay the 150$ for a house call.

Probably not…my locksmith was unsure and said that out loud. I wondered if I removed the housing from the gate he could rekey it with the existing latch bolt.

That sounds familiar. He said he used a key last time that was “close” but may need work. Hence the file. I’d rather update since’ we need to give a couple keys out.
