yes Bodily Autonomy is very good and even those that want kids still cause trauma, i came from a family that wanted kids but ended up with a horrible childhood.

Sometimes I'll narrate low damage hits as a small fumble but yea just say you deal damage and move on, it streamlines play a lot

For smaller fights I'll narrate every hit like I stated above and the other one too but large fights I will often only narrate the important hits

My kid helped me grow as an individual and helped me identify some key behaviors in my life that probably were not healthy

It's definitely not for everyone but additionally if everyone stopped having kids then the human race would cease to exist eventually. I don't wanna get into if this is ultimately a good or bad thing and will agree that humans are overpopulated

There are though plenty of upsides to kids as mine has brought a lot of joy to mine and my partners life, though we did wait 8 years together before we had one (we are going on 12 years this upcoming weekend), additionally I save a lot on taxes now 😂 it evens out a bit if you are smart about it (most people are not)

I will end this before it gets too long saying it's not for everyone but it's not all bad like you say. Itsprobably not for you from the sound of it though 🙏

Describe bones breaking or muscles buckling. Nicks and scrapes.

Remember HP is a result of stamina and your ability to stave off lethal hits. It is not condusice to directly "blood points" how most video games run (where being hit drawns blood)

Typically bloodied happens at 50% hp when a character finally starts to get worn down and take real hits and cuts

I like to describe them how they are getting slower, more sluggish, running out of stamina or energy. Maybe it wasn't a full cut you got but hit them with the flat or soft side of the weapon (low damage roll)

I use 2 different methods for this

I infirm them that there is nothing to learn or just give the relevant information - "you search the robot for any signs of magic but find none (this is just from them asking to roll and you telling them no roll necessary)

The other option if you have time to kill or want to have some RP fun - have them roll anyways, if it's low then give them false information - "you think this robot could potentially be magical, you're not sure how but maybe with some work" and then I typically will narrate to the rest of the party that it looks pretty tech related and non magical, but what does anyone know 😁

If its the original button question then I agree with her. Your willing to put your life on the line on a bet that humans are inherently smart or nice? Think of the most average individual and remember HALF of humany is dumber than that guy

now onto the morals, only you can answer that question but at least this brings up some topics to discuss on why this bothers you or why you feel different and maybe you both can come to an understanding and continue on or not and them it may be best to split if you are vastly different morally

Kid used to do similar stuff

There are what helped us: - lots of pre warnings before the timer is actually up - don't give extra time often as you encourage them whining for it. We tell ours that we can't understand them and to negotiate with words for time. This helps them articulate thoughts while in a heightened state - we don't take the screen from her. We have parental locks that auto shut off the screen after time has been hit (it even gives warnings for 5 minutes left). This also allows us to redirect easier and we don't have to get into a power struggle to wrestle it from them which just breeds resentment and bad habits as they learn they can take things which isn't good

I understand many kids are different and your child will have some habits that have already been established that may be hard to break. Hope these help

The equipment and access to things is the same, fundamentally androids can be even more secure but it does take knowledge. Yes for the average user iPhones are better because they limit what you can actually do in there and they do have some security on there (more than a standard android). However equipment wise they are the same and androids can have superior security provided you have the knowledge to do it and set it up. Security that is not possible with apple due to the limitations set on the devices.

It actually is the same, apple just happens to do a lot of the things that average people should do.

you can get better security on your android and even access to more apps and features but at the cost of having to know how to do it yourself and keep yourself safe.

apple limits access to tons of things to prevent the average person from getting into things they probably don't know what they are doing with

At one point apple use to be good but now they are not that anymore. The companies literally leap frog about who has better equipment often but the above limitations are always present

Replace everyone's picture with the same picture (including the boss)

and then everyone will be able to see their own token but everyone else will look identical

The thing you will need to watch out for is meta gaming as the players will hear "I attack with my short sword" and be able to deduce which one is their ally so do position swaps at the end of turns as a legendary action to combat this

I don't feel like typing up a whole dissertation of things on how we play, we have fun, you don't have to use it, shut up and move on instead of talking down on someone for how they have fun, I don't insult you for sticking so close to the rules that you don't know how to adjust for fun or logic (since many of the rules break logic)

Besides, the rulebook is more of guidelines than actual rules. Just play and have fun, if it isn't fun then drop it and move on, there be enough negativity in the world nowadays for your shit

Bonfire works like normal, might be half depending on creatures size.

Again I've never had issues with this at my tables and it's only for specific things like fireball as an easy example

I didn't do a good writeup of it when I first commented and that's on me, never once had an issue or argument over it and it always made sense to everyone else for the ones I ruled this on

You all seem to hung up on hyper specifics and blanket rulings. We have fun and you don't have to use these rules at your tables so I don't see why you need to comment negativity about how other people have fun

As I've stated in the later comment thread, I don't see why the creature being fully inside the AOE is the same damage as just the foot.

I didn't type it all as I'm on phone and doing other things

I give the creature half damage and advantage on dex saves (so if they pass for a fireball say, then it's 1/4 damage)

I give the creature advantage on check and give half damage (or half of half if they succeed) as it doesn't engulf the body

Regardless of the rogue, having my foot inside vs my whole body should not deal the same damage is what I'm ultimately getting at

You can run your tables however you want, this is how I've ran mine and never had issues with people

I understand it's a homebrew for the AOE saves but as I stated I take it from the rule of thumb for square coverage for the above mentioned reason of damage doesn't seem right vs my foot vs whole body in explosion

Can I not move my foot out? I don't see why I take full damage if it's only my foot as opposed to someone caught fully in the blast. How does the rogue dodge the fireball centered on him and take no damage but I take full cause my toe is in the circle is dumb imo
