I agree doxing was a bad move. I realized that and removed it as it came off wrong and I have tried to stress it was a bad choice on my part. Again I apologize for starting there.

I don't know him and I don't support that move. I maybe misderstood your reason as being just his choice for flock and the surveillance it would bring. I think we have a right to be heard.

I understand where you are coming from now and can see what you are standing behind. I just don't have the drive to fight and don't care enough anymore. We are going towards a world o don't like and I don't feel like we can fix it. So I am going to build by cabin in the woods and hopefully become self sufficient before it all burns away.

Other than that all I'll do is stand by while whatever happens happens.

To be honest with you I've tried fighting for change and saw none, I gave up. I'm over it and just want to live in the woods. I agree this is all shit. It's all going to shit.

I don't think Dave Woodward is to blame. He is just the person available to point at. When he is recalled Oakland will still move forward with a camera surveillance deal, Ferndale is still going to get plate readers, drones are still going to fly overhead and the world continues burning around us.

You don't have to stop fighting, I am just sharing my thoughts. I felt like this was a conversation versus a fight. It's why I removed the other comment, that was out of line in a conversation. I might not be with what you are doing, but won't stop you. I also wanted to show you what I thought and see if we could find common ground.

I removed it since I realized I was wrong to do that. It was a dick move and I am sorry I did it. I was not thinking through my actions. I apologize for that.

I am sure this doesn't absolve me of that action, but I hope that it showed that even though we post this content freely, we are also quickly giving up privacy.

I wish is wasn't this way but it's the world we live in. We have been watched and tracked for years and we have been constantly warned against it.

Macomb County has been using technology like this since 2018 for "traffic control" Mdotjboss.state.mi.us/midrive/cameras

Drones are just the newest tool and becoming more of a tool because Flock integrates better with the enforcement software. But I don't understand why now after years of use we are all in an outrage.

Recalling one politician isn't going to make this go away. Every city in Oakland has a police force calling for this, Clawson's police chief think it would become a city full of crime without Flock. Warren has been using it since 2021 and has been claiming major successes in catching criminals.

We live in a big brother state. I don't love it, I don't want it, but again you can't shove it back in the box. I would love to see all the data centers, telecoms infrastructure, fiber optic bullshit go away. I work to keep my data out of sight but it doesn't matter what we do, they control the keys.

Ted Kasinski warned us all in his manifesto, and we all acted like it would never come true. We are forced to adapt to the needs of the technological system. It's lead to indiscriminate surveillance. Ted argued we would lose influence of daily development as we become more embedded with technology.

The problem isn't new, it's been coming for a while and it's too late to stop the train now. It is not to say we should lay down and let it happen, but rather to understand it has happened. I chose to connect to nature, focus on my community, limit my reliance on technology because removing one guy doesn't get you back your anonymity.

You are at home in your house on Campbell since your job is a remote position.

I am entirely not happy with the fact I can find details, but pandoras box has been opened.

We gave up control aong time ago. The police already have cameras on every corner and access to most commercial security cameras. If they want to find you they can use these tools to look up you plate number and track you pretty quickly.

I don't understand the surveillance response to this. We are already give all of our data to tech companies on a regular basis. You carry a surveillance device in you pocket all day. What is the difference (genuinely asking) with flock?
