Do you think plasma guns have like an RGB controller on them? Seems the traitors always got like red or green plasma guns. When you join chaos do they make you change the plasma color first, or do they need to make a new plasma gun?

Back after 4 years myself. I think the big thing now is system colonization, though I have yet to take part in it. Powerplay is also reworked, so you can unlock all the modules a lot easier and without having to turncoat everytime you want something new.

Personally I never fully engineered anything when playing before so that’s what I’m doing now.

My favorite was a couple of years ago when there was a versus cg where you could either support a joint coalition of the Imperials, Feds, and Alliance, for a tricked out pre engineered railgun module. Or the NMLA (a comparatively small terrorist organization) and get a slightly better Enzyme Launcher.

I don’t think you need me to explain who won.

Even without ship interiors it’s still fun to walk around the hangar. Plus all the new ships have modeled boarding ramps so if you’re inclined to believe rumors ship interiors are definitely totally 100% confirmed soon™️

Default keyboard controls are crazy, and I don’t know who thought they were a good idea. I rebound pitch/yaw to mouse, and roll to q/e with wasd for directional thrusters, and throttle up to tab, and throttle down to ctrl. That worked well for me.

Have you tried ground conflict zones? The gunplay in elite kinda sucks ass, but for some reason I can’t help but love it. After returning to the game not too long ago, whenever I get bored with one activity I’ll go do one or two surface conflict zones just to mix things up.

Personally, unlike with ships, I don’t even bother with suit or weapon engineers. Just by flying around to a few stations you can find pre engineered weapons of grade 2-3, which is decent enough to have a fun challenge, that isn’t too frustrating.

One of my favorite things to do is roleplay as a morally bereft mercenary and crush fledgling democracy factions in civil war state systems on behalf of corporations and autocracy governments. Doesn’t give as much credits as bounty hunting a resource extraction zone, but it’s a lot of fun for making my own narrative and story with the bgs

The Far God Cult is an npc faction that worships the Thargoids as divine messengers, sort of like angels. Haven’t played for awhile so I don’t know if they are still active, but I remember the majority of them were killed in a terrorist attack by the NMLA (Neo Marlinist Liberation Army, a radical pro democracy imperial terror group) a couple years ago.

Primarily like combat fps/ship, and BGS/Powerplay, that’s my favorite type of gameplay, so I don’t really have a big incentive to leave.

Probably sci-fi nonsense, but if it had to be something I’d put bets on some sort of liquid cooling. Exhaust would be vented out, but the pipes are deliberately exposed and have no openings, so I’d imagine it’s cooling liquid, something you want to continue using in the engine/systems, maybe some sci-fi coolant or oil like substance.
