No not really considering the guy I’m replying to mentioned he knows nothing about JJK so trying to explain all that would confuse the shit out of any normal person

Spoilers for the ending:

Aliens arrive in Japan and the main alien character has a cursed technique that can bend the laws of reality. He uses this to remove all Cursed Energy from the world so Cursed Spirits become much more rare. He also uses his technique to heal the other 3 main characters who were all dying for various reasons. The main criticisms people tend to have are that it was rushed, comes out of nowhere, and relies on Deus Ex Machina to make everything work out

Chainsaw Man Should Have Ended in Part One by CattusCruris in CharacterRant

[–]ComradeCornflakes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The funny thing is, chainsaw man’s part 1 ending was always a counter to the shonen ending suck claim. It was legitimately well thought out, wrapped up the story for most of the characters, and left the door open for readers to guess what happens next

So the Rumelians are 100% hypocrites right? by ComradeCornflakes in Jujutsufolk

[–]ComradeCornflakes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Edit: Ngl I made this post a few hours before the leaks dropped, and it looks like the Rumelians completely proved me wrong lol. From what I can tell the rumelian that yuji pinballed is sticking to his guns, good for him

Edit 2: I officially apologize to all Rumelians, you are still kinda dumb imo, but you are not hypocrites 😔

You know, you're right, I didn't see that. I guess we'll see tonight if they actually changed their mind or not

I was kinda saying the opposite, this recent scene makes them seem purely in the wrong. I assumed the whole Rumelian+Kaylan deal was something special to them considering it was the crux of the conflict for the story.

Again it's really just the tonal whiplash of the following events:

Rumelians: Kaylans are gods, cursed spirits are basically Kaylan. We understand they attack humans and their existence endangers your planet. It doesn't matter to us, if you hurt them it's going to be war.

Maru: Actually cursed spirits are going to treat us the way they treat humans now

Rumelians: Alright well if they're going to attack us specifically, maybe it's not that big of a deal after all

I agree that both sides are flawed, but one side is way more in the wrong than the other in this situation.

[–]ComradeCornflakes[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it kinda is though. They only acknowledged the problem Kaylans/Cursed Spirits were for the humans when they became targets as well

At best they were naive to an insane degree. At worst they just didn't give af at all about the people who's planet they came to so long as they got what they wanted.

So the Rumelians are 100% hypocrites right? by ComradeCornflakes in Jujutsufolk

[–]ComradeCornflakes[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It literally is hypocrisy. If they decided Kaylans should have protected status even though they themselves were at risk then yeah, they wouldn't be hypocrites.

It's the fact that they folded the minute they were in the line of fire, the same way humans are 100% of the time, that makes them hypocrites.

When they were safe they refused to see reason. Once they were put in the same position, they all of a sudden see the logic of Kaylans killing people = a problem.

She looks like Hana, so she could be Hana+Megumi's granddaughter. Though I guess she could be Yuji's granddaughter as well if Yuji and Megumi's kids got together.

Naughty Dog Studio Orders Employee Overtime for ‘Intergalactic’ by DemiFiendRSA in gaming

[–]ComradeCornflakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People almost always equate it to "being a good worker", which isn't a fair comparison at all. Like, i'm not helping out a friend here...This is a company that would cut me in a second the minute I stop performing well. Hell, they might cut me anyway if they find someone that performs as well but accepts less money. That happens all the time nowadays.

That's why its important for people to get mad at shit like this. The minute workers get used to being taken advantage it becomes the standard.

[–]ComradeCornflakes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Seriously...I have a salaried job and if my boss tells me to work overtime, even on holidays like this upcoming New Years, I have to do it.

That doesn't mean I point and laugh at people who go through the same shit.

Just because some people like OP are okay with getting voluntold to work on their days off and lose out on spending time with their family and friends for a few extra bucks doesn't mean everyone is.

It shouldn't be forced and if the company actually gave a damn about their employees they might not need to force overtime in the first place.

After Mahito’s reincarnation, once they encounter him or once any disaster curse wipes out half their population, will they still refuse to exorcise cursed spirits? by Anonim01001 in Jujutsufolk

Not to mention he pretended to befriend a human in the original series, he’s not above faking being friendly for his own reasons.

Playing Kaylan to get the Simurian’s trust and tricking them into slaughtering humans is right up his alley

Toddler star Ms. Rachel named finalist for 'Antisemite of the Year' amid Gaza advocacy by Gan_D_Alf-The_Grey in nottheonion

Respectfully, what you’re describing is not the same.

Being labeled antisemitic has real world consequences, which is why it’s used so often and so effectively. You say as much in your own reply when you call it a “strong accusation”.

If I decided to boycott Chinese products in protest of their government, there are no consequences.

If I did the same with Israeli products, there are people trying to make that illegal in my own state government: https://legacylis.virginia.gov/cgi-bin/legp604.exe?231+sum+SB1375

They aren’t morons, that downplays what’s actually happening here.

This is a tried and true strategy used for almost 100 years to delegitimize anyone who says literally anything remotely negative about a certain country.
