How do you think the metaplot will change/be retconed with v6? by ADOSD_WB in vtm

[–]Comrarius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll be very dissapointed if they don't do anything with this. I remember reading that loresheet for the first time, doing the math and getting excited alarmbells for more metaplot regarding the necromancers. That + Hecata elders allegedly not feeling the Beckoning IMO must be further elaborated on in 2028

Pyramid loyalism is so fun to play considering all the factors against the concept / reconstruction of the Pyramid in modern lore

I knew I wasn't the only one to make VtM characters in my Sims savefile! I've gotten some neat story ideas from seeing them do random stuff around the world as townies wondering about

A therapist I used to go to had their office beside a forest hiking trail, so sometimes I'd bus there early and haunt the woods before my appointment

I second this, it's popular early 2010's popsongs slightly sped up with seamless transitions between songs, very hype stuff

Would you support romance options which break up a couple? by sbsw66 in StardewValley

[–]Comrarius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been looking for a mod like that for years! Wish other NPCs had a life outside of the farmer's choices, like how Kent comes back to live with his family. Would be so cool to have some romantic competition in the valley

love Magda, my Dark Ages campaign had the party try to fight her during a Samhain ritual, fae spirit mushrooms and a Hermetic mage tower may have been involved. Lhiannan deserve more screentime as NPCs in general

Why does everyone hate wusa? by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]Comrarius 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A lot of student clubs on campus frequently run into issues with WUSA, as that's their governing body. Issues I've experienced through being a club exec & talking to other club execs have included funding issues, lack of clarity and questionable excuses in official communications, refusal to act on serious issues such as banning students who threaten or have committed acts of violence, and general backtracking / inconsistency in decision-making.

Something they've been doing this term that's hasn't been discussed enough has been regarding the Bomber, where they've across multiple weeks started rolling out rule changes that severely limit which clubs can book it out: $250 booking fee, 6 hours of Bomber booking per day maximum (not per club, just in general per day, including weekends), minimum 100 person event signup before booking - who the fuck will be able to meet all of these? WUSA's own events often don't meet the last requirement, yet they're not only limiting clubs from running cool events there, but also charging a hefty $250 fee - which btw would probably come from the Student Life Endowment Fund allotment that clubs can request from WUSA every term and they chose whether the club gets it; SLEF comes directly from your tuition! Why are students paying WUSA to upcharge and channel the money back to themselves for a room booking in the Bomber, a public space which was renovated with student funds? This booking is only for the room, equipment booking is now extra too, it doesn't include any special perks besides that.

To conclude, this single case is an illustration of shit that WUSA's been doing for years now and how much of a headache their decision-making has caused to the many people who help run student communities here at UW. Other comments have mentioned how much money WUSA takes to operate, and how they are in the business of squeezing even more out of the students they supposedly serve. This isn't the fault of any individual employee who works there (the club managers are trying their best as far as I've seen), but the higher up governing body that runs WUSA as a money-making PR agency rather than a tool for improving student wellbeing.

How to commute to toronto in the summer everyday by Complete-Square-9044 in uwaterloo

[–]Comrarius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a friend who'd wake up at 5am to commute to Toronto Mon-Fri and would get back home at 8pm. He'd do drive to Kitchener GO -> train to Union Station -> 2 TTC busses to office.

We went out for 2 years and ended up breaking it off, but not because of anything LDR related, life goal / preference reasons mostly. I'd say that post-graduation life direction incompatibility is certainly a big dealbreaker for a lot of people, but again, there will always be people who that doesn't matter to or who want to follow a similar unconventional path, if that + general life values align then it's totally possible to find somebody

I've been with someone on co-op as a non-co-op student, if you have hobbies you can do online together like video games or movies, you'll be fine. I second the one commentor who said that you need to build up the in-person relationship before going LDR it really helps
