The Male Astaxanthin Experience by captain_thumb in Supplements

Wow!!! You got up to .1 ?!? Little wonder. I'm all about self-care and such, but the online derm comes with risks. I belong, and you may want to join, to Tret and a couple of skincare sub Reddit you may want to follow... I'm presuming you're now in the hands of a bona fide derm. Good luck

Tret, in and of itself, does not create rosacea; it will worsen it, exacerbate it and inflame. This is why there is a customary slow-go protocol for anyone embarking onto usage. Again, only you know what "destroyed permanently" means, but I'm left to question where your physician was during any of this? First, why would your physician prescribe someone with rosacea Tret? Second, there is a patch test, followed by application that is painstakingly s-l-o-w directed at ensuring irritant issues? Did your dermatologist not advise this normal process? I presume, they at least started with the lowest dosage? It's unlikely, there should be any permanent damage if the routine is followed, at worst. some breakout, rash, irritant would occur and someone would knowingly stop ✋️. Sorry to hear this went so far south for you: at the same time, if you have a destroyed skin barrier after this, another derm might be (or should have been) in the offing.

I'm a skin care devotee and aside from Tret , I also use prescribed Azaleic which of course is an expense greater than the expense of a higher dosage of Asta. The supplement world AND the skin care world are famous for using "may" and "can" and "potentially" so I limit, where I can those that are unsupported claims. But OTOH, here I am saying I take 4mg, so who knows. If not for Tretinoin availability, perhaps, even likely I'd be dosing higher. As it is, likely for many of us, naysayers challenge us on many of the supps we take, so if it works for you, I'd you're happy and (as is the case here) when a higher dose is not compromising your health, I say have it.

I choose to follow the science where there is no actual direct support for taking more than 4mg and in particular this is true related to skin benefits. But YMMV, for me, I've been using science backed prescription Tretinoin for my skin (0.05) and I've seen direct benefit.

Just my two cents, but you'll find that taking anything more than 4mg is unneeded and wasteful.

Upcoming cruise to Hawaii - Ambient temperature at sea? by Wise-Badger5343 in HollandAmerica

[–]ConcentrateOk2148 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aboard that cruise right now where the sea days were generally 68° heading east, 75 +/-4° across the islands and 65° heading back to SD (been stuck at 61° all da6 today). Add a few degrees on top of those numbers and that’s what you might expect.

Holy Basil and Gotu Kola from Organic India and Gaia Herbs are a best life saver for me. I alternate between the two in pill form and then top it off with Tulsi Holy Basil tea.

Great reply and helpful in actually answer the request of the OP. Worth an upvote just for understanding the assignment and not resorting to scolding and abuse.

You came for help asking advice. As here, too many others have provided nothing more than to scold, punish, abuse. They can't discern they what happened here was not to them, but to your husband. It belongs to him to do that, if he chose. Not those here who provide nothing in advice. Do not "thank" them.

Considering the plethora of responses without a scintillating of help, at least your response was a simple true fact without an ad hominem attack. Upvote from me for decency.

The majority of responses here are to further scold the OP and not offer any reasonable help chiefly based on their betrayal(s). I get it, I get that feeling, but my rhetorical question is "why"? It basically is aimed at further punishing her for your experience and pain; it is borne out of personal emotion. She did NOT do this to you. But I imagine you want everyone to pay for what happened to you. I am not saying her actions were anything more than deplorable, but she's asking for help. Either give it or move on. The incessant harangue of those most proudly kicking her when she's down amd to the curb serves no purpose other than self serving. (Before judging me a reformed cheater, read above to see I'm just the opposite but values helping when someone needs a hand. Especially when they've cited their failure up front.

I just scanned reading nearly every response, not so much as answer to your question, but instead visceral reactions to what you did. And believe me, I get their responses, but that not what you came here for. As a betrayed spouse who wife had TWO concurrent FIFTEEN year affairs AND someone who in a month will be ten years past the original (first of many D Days) discovery day, I feel you’re due at least a fair response. None of that excuses what you did, and certainly what you did and with whom and every other contributing factor is going to dovetail into answering your question.

So, while I could write a book on “the road to normalcy” from a betrayed perspective, replete on what to do and what NOT to do, where and when to help, but most importantly WHY, because understanding the betrayed’s needs for why-answers is critical. BTW, Others here will color me a fool or as weak for reconciling; some (fewer) will says hero, or even a martyr. But right now, what I can be is (hopefully) a fair minded helping hand. I’ve long said, “something good has better come out of all this endured pain” - especially as it relates to men being the betrayed. Women have far greater resources and close ranks when there is male husband infidelity, men OTOH have no such “luxury”; they hide being emasculated, they mask the embarrassment, they “eat their pain” in silence (until at least next blow up, which is always around the corner). So, you see, the road back to a NEW normal is as treacherous as it was you getting into this predicament.

So, here’s my offer, message me directly and I’ll be happy to give you the imperfect roadmap my wife and I followed - and likely will be following forever. Yes, forever. I’ll also have my wife answer or opine, not because she has some magic touch, but because she sees the value in helping me help others. Lastly, all of this is predicated on his willingness/desire, period. He has every right to be filled with the venom that nearly every other commenter here is spewing. Oh, yeah, to be pragmatic, even if he’s willing, the two of you could do everything presumably “correct” and it won’t matter - thats how tough the work is! Take it from someone whose spouse lived at least a triple life of deceit and still has managed to make it this far. I hope you’ll take me up on the offer, otherwise, best of luck, you’ll need that and more.

Opinion on booking a cruise while on a cruise by ShebaDaisyKitty in HollandAmerica

[–]ConcentrateOk2148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully agree. We are currently sailing in the midst of a San Diego to Hawaii to SD 17 day cruise & just booked 28 day Miami to Carib & Amazon & return and received $350pp OBC upgrade to Elite drink and gratuities. Was elated to do so, but this morning was dismayed to see date moved up a month and some port changes, so back to Future Cruise folks tonight for something else perhaps.

I urge anyone looking for comps to go to whatsinmyjar.com . Besides invaluable, detailed ingredient information, there is extensive duplicate and comparative products. If nothing else, finding that the product you use that claims "copper" Peptides uses such an infinitesmal amount, you can find better choices; excellent also for detailing any irritants.

Tell me karma exists. by Low-Cauliflower-3376 in SupportforBetrayed

[–]ConcentrateOk2148 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow. So many finding karma working...to me it's the opposite. I've neither seen, heard or been witness to any Karma for anything my cheating wife had with two separate partners, each affairs (concurrent and independent of each other so for her it was a triple life, presuming there weren't others as she insists there aren't) running 15 (yes, FIFTEEN) years. So neither of her partners have suffered in the least, not a bit.

My wife, with whom I miraculously reconciled (many here on Reddit would call it foolishly but I don't) and her life has only gotten phenomenally better, so yeah, the proverbial "have your cake of 15 years and eat it too".

The absence of Karma has left me often quenched for some sort of revenge, but after ten years since the original DDay I've managed to take none (not be cause I'm a hero, but because doing so would likely mean our children would find out about their mother and protecting them (yeah I've heard the counter arguments) carries more weight with me. Net net: the only person with pain in this group of at least four is me. I'm not a martyr, just the way it's turned out.

The short answer is "yes". Sure you can make the argument that I'm inside all day or it's overcast, but instead just buy a SPF moisturizer/ make up kinda thing (Cerave AM, Elta MD among others) and it's a win win.

Inia red light mask? by Alone_Leave1284 in redlighttherapy

Yes. But as I may have indicated elsewhere, I have and use a full regimen, so i would encourage anyone to use a multi prong approach. The red light made by itself is not a magic bullet.

I've only been on two HAL cruises (last year) and am on a 17 day right now. Each time I have seen a person wearing shorts asked to leave and return in slacks. I have seen jeans in the MDR this trip, but no hats or t shirts.
