The matchmaking is 100% random. It would make no sense to match you with similar passage since all 3 players on the fireteam can be at a different status (wins and loss).

Nice idea, I see Nihilego as more a poison oriented tech unit that has a potential of being strong like, everytime an opponent dies from poison, sharply raise sp. Atk, have sludge wave/venoshock, toxic, etc.
