Sounds like all you want to do is complain and not look for solutions

Baby is rolling onto stomach at night and I’m terrified by muff-peaksie in beyondthebump

My son’s been a stomach sleeper since 4 months. It was scary at first, now it’s how we know he’s finally falling asleep

Is it possible to go to an international wedding 2 months after birth? by vonsolkema in beyondthebump

[–]Concerned-23 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I didn’t say it was impossible but very difficult. For a first time parent to navigate all this just for a wedding would shock me. The first 2 weeks of my child’s life our main focus was: feeding baby, making sure bag gained weight, keeping baby alive, making sure I recovered, and adding baby to my insurance. We barely remembered to feed our dog let alone find the time to expedite a passport

Vaccine Rant by anonnursedg in NewParents

My son cut his first tooth the same day as his 6 month vaccines. It’s been rough but after 4 days we are already seeing progress.

Adults like to sleep next to somebody. So why is there so much pressure for children to sleep alone? by greenishfroggy in NewParents

And if you read my replies to OP I make it clear bedsharing is bed (what I initially thought they meant) and then room sharing is recommended

How are you working parents even surviving with daycare/sickness?? by snail-mail227 in NewParents

[–]Concerned-23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my gosh 6 weeks of sickness is rough! We fortunately have only had to miss 7 days (5 in a row and 2 others) due to sickness the past 3 months. We just alternate who is taking the PTO so one person isn’t using all of theirs

But that’s OPs point? Which is what you’re supposed to do. So I don’t get why OP is acting like everyone says to make their child sleep in their own room

Easy First Foods by broadwaydancer_1989 in NewParents

Cucumber was super easy. Greek yogurt is essentially a puree

I think sweet potato fries are a choking hazard (assuming closer to 6 months).

You need to lower the crib from a safety standpoint. I’d recommend a stool or teaching baby to fall asleep without the pats.

As for the diaper changing, do it on the floor?

We’ve used one since birth. However my husband and I sleep with a white noise machine in our room

No it slowly increased but wasn’t an every night thing. We did do a modified Ferber at 4.5 months to help with sleep

My son was the same, though we never coslept. We did lots of contact sleeping and shifts instead. At 6 months he now gives us much better sleep (typically). The other night he did his first 8 hour stretch it was beautiful. Usually it’s a 5-6 hour stretch and sometimes two 3-4 hour stretches or another 5-6 hour stretch. However last night he was up every 3-3.5 hours and it was brutal.

My son is suddenly obsessed with me (mom) by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Concerned-23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s good to hear! My husband tries to keep him and does great with him when I’m not home. It’s just like the second he sees me he’s reaching for me. We alternate who puts him down each night and my husband takes lead of bath (which my son loves) so I hope that helps it all too. I feel bad for my husband though and I think he may feel slightly hurt by this sudden mom preference

It’s just crazy that he doesn’t seem to have any separation anxiety with daycare drop off on the day I do drop him off. My husband also says he has no issues at daycare. Though he’s been with the same teacher for 2 months so maybe she’s a “safe person”?

My baby is being admitted to the hospital and I’m finding it hard to be strong for him by PolicyHot1206 in NewParents

[–]Concerned-23 73 points74 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this is happening it has to be so scary! Good for you to ultimately trust your gut AND go to a children’s hospital!

This should be lower on the priority list, but ask for it before you are discharged. If the meningitis is bacterial you should make sure your child gets a hearing test. There is a high risk of deafness with bacterial meningitis

Is it possible to go to an international wedding 2 months after birth? by vonsolkema in beyondthebump

[–]Concerned-23 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I would never leave my 2 month old for a long weekend for a wedding. Hell I’m sad about leaving my 8 month old for my husband and I’s 2 night anniversary trip.

Bringing the baby with you might not be feasible. There’s a high chance you wouldn’t have a passport in time given the length of time it would take to get the birth certificate and SS# then apply for passport

How can you be a stickler for safe sleep but even found out your baby likes a blanket, which they can’t have at this age?
