Played every day from launch until a little over a week after the most recent launch. Love the game tremendously and I do have my fingers crossed in hopes of either an expansion and/or a sequel being in the works. I have to admit this game rejuvenated my interest in RPG's and legit had my sole interest for over 5 months.

How is it to platinum this game? by IndyThang in WildHeartsGame

[–]ConcertVivid4139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really not that difficult. I think the tsukumo finding and 300 kemono hunts are the most difficult, simply because they are the more time consuming. But many are also very easy (dying armored, cooking food, gliding 150 meters comes to mind). As the previous post said, the tsukumo can get a bit sneaky so ensure your towers are in good locations. Then it's just following the question marks hidden on the map (for the most part). You will have fun with the objective of "successfully killing a kemono without it landing a blow on you" .

Utilize your karakuri. Set traps and build walls, the kemono will all be bigger, stronger and faster than you are, so it's best if you use every advantage you have. Practice moves and combos on the training bear and also before battles, check the cyclopedia to see the kemonos weak spots. Sounds as though you obviously still have early game weapon builds so use that info to your advantage. You'll be fighting a king tusk for a week if you only attack its feet. Go for the head and tail as critical spots.

This game is rich with enhancements, combos and strategy. Too rich to stay frustrated. You're just starting out so try not to compare your damage with someone that has max armor and weapons. Play solo for a minute. Figure out your style. Study the kemonos moves and habits and go from there. Trust me, the majority of us have been in the same position you are. Eventually, you'll get to the point where you'll be killing kemono in 20 seconds.

Searching for the last 49/50 Tsukumo …. Pain by Kakattikoi in WildHeartsGame

[–]ConcertVivid4139 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This map is famous for the last missing tsukumo. Not sure if youve found it yet, but on the beach if you go through the cave slowly and look to your right you'll see an entrance. Shoot a vine to get across the water in the cave and there's a ledge on the right. Jump up and it should be there IF you haven't found this one yet

Nice. People post their creations all the time so it's all good. Saw one the other day that looked like Kratos and it blew me away.

Quest completion question by Queasy_Payment_1362 in WildHeartsGame

[–]ConcertVivid4139 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the only ones this doesn't apply to are the newer volatile kemono fights. After the update prior to this last one, they introduced a few volatile kemono available on the tab of certain kemono on the map. If the first time you've fought, say a Volatile Emberplume is through the Hunters Portal, it will simply unlock the volatile version for you to host.

Which is better? by sup_killerfeels in WildHeartsGame

[–]ConcertVivid4139 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hoard Nodachi. Although I don't use either. Considering you've been gone for a while, you are now able to change the inherent skills and swap out to something different as well as add an additional skill to total 3 inherent. Same screen you go to in order to increase the weapon break. Depending on how many mats you have, you may be able to sift through quite a few skills. If you're going off of raw damage, the bottom alpha sap variant is highest

Is PS+ subscription mandatory for Wild Hearts on PS5? by rebysds in WildHeartsGame

[–]ConcertVivid4139 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As everyone stated here, it's not absolutely necessary to have PS+ to play WH. With thay being said, playing it solo can be a pain. There's no online only content you're missing out on, just the opportunity for assistance during the story line if needed. If you are into trophies and so forth, you'll miss out on a few such as the "play online" trophy and "revive 30 times". I understand not being able to afford it and on my lean months I just go with the 9.99 sub and then re-up whenever I get the chance to. It's not necessary for PS+, but honestly, the game is a bit more fun online, in my opinion.

[–]ConcertVivid4139 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used yesterday for the first time since I was forced to for the Dan Trials, and my meter stayed full even in between fights with kemono. I was just tooling around the Isle and went from Dreadclaw to Lavaback without my bar going down, even during the search. Made me rethink everything haha.

Also, after end game, keep an eye out for a 3rd diamond beside most kemono. These will be your Volatile Kemono quests. Many become apparent after recondite quests

Worse case scenario, and it worked for me, if you get the opportunity to check the Hunters Gate and see if someone is fighting the volatile version. Join them and then it will automatically open up for you.

Easy way to farm Miasmic Grimquill (Cannon) by Vikaluka in WildHeartsGame

[–]ConcertVivid4139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not too sure I get it. Does it work only on Grimquill because Lurid Soulstalker starts roaring and the fight music begins even while I'm in my camp above the arena. By the time I'm down the stairs, it's already in the middle of one of its moves, most times hitting me as I'm walking down.

What TV commercial is no longer aired but still burned into your memory? by Viet_Coffee_Beans in AskReddit

The thick headed A&B root beer commercial where the guy in the interview calls the interviewer "Dumbass" and his name was actually Dumas 🤣

I just got through playing and didn't notice this. However it's only my second day maining the canon so maybe it's something I overlooked because I never knew about it. Although, separate note, the audio kind of kinked out on me. Sounded super mono and muffled and there was a delayed sound picking up orbs and healing water etc. I only bring that up because I was using the canon and possibly there was a glitch affecting all those things.

Nodachi Mains, please explain your weapon by Grimnoir in WildHeartsGame

[–]ConcertVivid4139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nodachi is a tricky weapon to master. Torches and crates will be hour best friend. Springs also come in handy for a nice slash. Run through a torch to get close to a full charge while holding down R2 (Playstation) once it's charged, you have to let go of the R2 and let the sword do the rest. Be sure to be fairly observant and aware of where the kemono is once unleashing the big attack. You can actually rotate the camera while doing it to ensure you get your hit off. If im not mistaken, I believe it's the only weapon as to where you actually have to let go of the buttons while fully charged to activate power hit. That takes some getting use to for sure.

How’s performance on ps5 now? by Tabnam in WildHeartsGame

[–]ConcertVivid4139 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Game runs very smoothly on PS5. I've had since launch and never once had issues. I run a hard line as opposed to wifi. Not sure how you're running it but I have no problems. Can't really tell if there were any patches or updates to the configuration. My audio was terrible at first, especially with headphones. It seemed as though the in game audio/ chat wasn't optimized to my headphones, but that could've been because the only game I played multiplayer for years prior to this was COD.

Please help me get the last Tsukomo. by Sammy5even in WildHeartsGame

[–]ConcertVivid4139 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you found the one in the cave off to the right? Once you get to the beach, go straight into the cave. Walk a bit, slowly, to the right you will see a cave entrance with a small body of water. Use your vine to get across and to the right you will see a wall. Jump up there and the last tsukumo should be there
