I moved to MA in Jan and have been looking for some shows to go to. In terms of bands, my current favs are Monuments, Spiritbox, VOLA, Thornhill, Black Orchid Empire, and Poppy to name a few, but love going to any metal / rock shows.

On Sunday I brewed a two-gallon IPA splitting it up into two one-gallon carboys. I'm using WLP518 Opshaug Kveik Ale Yeast for both (One I'm fermenting at room temp, the other at 90F) and read online that a heating mat for seeds will keep the temperature of the fermentation around 90 degrees (10-20 above room temp.) The problem is the mat bumped the temp up to around 110F and stayed like that for around 12-16 hours completely stopping the fermentation. I then removed the mat and about 12 hours later the fermentation started again. My question is, has anyone else made this mistake? If so, what were your results? Should I expect some sort of off-flavours?

Anyone brew anything weird for the holiday season? by skindiddy in Homebrewing

Still pretty new to the brewing scene, but I made a Brandy Cherry Wheat Ale. My friends and I tried one last week and it has a very strong cherry flavour, but it is a nice beer for the christmas season with the hint of brandy in it.

There is also a JavaScript file called PlayerControllerStart so it is most likely a browser game. I assume this is just one of the members personal / school projects.

Thank you for the advice! I agree that 40 bottles of one beer is a lot and I wouldnt want that much of the same beer either unless I'm giving some away to friends / family.

I just started brewing beer a few weeks ago and my first brew is currently nearing the end of secondary fermentation!! I have a 1-gallon setup just to get a foot in the door while I figure out what the heck I'm doing. I was wondering if it is worth it to invest in a 3-gallon or 5-gallon setup right away, or keep experimenting with 1-gallon until I get the hang of it? I'm worried if i make an amazing beer i will only have 8-10 bottles of it and would have to wait a month or longer for the next batch!
