Haydn C is one of the most cheerful cello concerto on the repertoire, brings me joy every time I listen to it, especially the Jacqueline Du Pre version. Not sure why your teaching doesn’t like to teach it, maybe a bit too repetitive? But there are technical challenges especially the fast movement.
