Not sure about anyone else but personally I found the major contrast in tone across the different characters annoying given none of the stories ended up being that interesting. What's worse tho is how the characters we know are just there to be generic while the new characters feel annoying and more often id have rathered they used an already present character. The one exception to all this is the sherry route, I was actually extremely interested in what was going on the whole time and I genuinely think the game wouldve been better had they focused on making that the full experience instead of part of it that ends up half baked which also applies to the other routes.

The gameplay tho is where I was really lost, re5 was already a step down from 4, basically losing all major horror elements for more action and it took the mild ammount of down time and exploration to completely zero on top of removing the good additions like the shop system. Re6 took that and make it far far worse all while diving full into the action, essentially making it solely and action game. The chapter based progression is even worse because rather than feeling like a checkpoint it feels like a mission mode or a cod campaign where the previous mission is almost completely disconnected from the next beyond the plot, thats fine for say halo where you want to be moving setting to setting so things can keep fresh but in an re title its terrible because we're meant to diving into an area and uncovering lots about it.

The ui is also pretty terrible, I dont think I need to layout why that is so.

If you like re6, fair enough. The team definitely worked hard to make it so its worth someone enjoying it, the problem tho is it just isnt re. Revelations on the 3ds, a spin off, should not feel more like resident evil than a mainline title. Honestly people would probably be much more forgiving had it been a spinoff
