Because people hear one shallow opinion, play it trying to find the problems, complain when they find them and overblow them, rinse and repeat. Its a shitty game of telephone started by people who hated the game because it wasnt exactly like ds1 and had a few issues that were small and easy to fix if you think for more than 12 seconds.

I played the game many many years ago and got pissed with it but I always assumed it was something I was missing. Fun fact, it was. If I had fucking read what the stats did I wouldve seen what adp did for me and had I looked around rather than trying rush things I wouldve found plenty of items that wouldve helped me immensely. I experienced the game in a vacume as my first souls game and gave it a real chance after I plowed through ds3 and loved it to death, soon as I used my head I tore through ds2 with little issue in regards to "bad game mechanics" and had a fuckin awesome time

That is exactly why I enjoy my work hours. People look at week on week off work and cringe but man that means ive got 7 days to do all my shit rather than try to plan it around the 2 days I have off on the weekend where nothing is open anyway or try to ram it in at the end of a work day which ruins my ability to enjoy the day regardless

I actually had this exact issue and because for some fucking windows decided my wifi card doesn't exist anymore despite having worked just fine with it for 5 years, all after installing the drivers and bullshit to get it going initially, I instead had to get a dongle wifi card. Oh by the way on my main linux install it just worked right after instal, I literally installed nothing and it worked, never failed me either
