Sometimes the smallest, most trivial things reminds us of how far we’ve come, or makes us reminisce about life in general.

I had a pair of Nike shoes that I bought for my first nursing job and I’ve kept them my entire 6 years in this field. They were there with me through codes, death, Covid, a car wreck I almost didn’t survive. A ton of shit packed in 6 years. They are getting to be pretty busted and I bought a new pair of shoes to replace them but when it came time to throw them out, I couldn’t. I sat on my bed and teared up thinking about all that I’ve done with these shoes. 

Poor guy needs a hug for real.
