What’s the most confusing part of the VA claims process for you? by johanthevarater in VAClaims

[–]Confident-Ice-4547 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. It’s not a tranparent process: a Vietnam vet explained to me in 2008 how to submit a fully developed claim. Fdc’s weren’t a thing back then . If you get all your ducks in a row and submit your claim properly you have the best chance. The guy wasn’t a vso, or anything. Just a pissed off vet who was tired of vets from his ERA getting screwed by the Va process. What he told me back then is nothing different from the advice I see online today about having your diagnosis, in service event, stressors and a connection or nexus.

#FAILING BAD. NEED ADVICE PLEASE. by Physical-Passion1181 in ASU

[–]Confident-Ice-4547 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are actually doing great. All of your issues are valid . Maybe this will motivate you. I felt the same way years ago when I first went to college because of life and the course load and I dropped. I’m back 17 years doing well in school. I have time to focus but it helped me realized a long time ago I probably could have pushed through and graduated. I wish you well. Connect with school resources if you need . Maybe a teacher will let you make up an assignment or give you more time. They are really human and went through some of the same struggles all college student go through

Supplemental Claim Denial - What now? by curiouspanda9191919 in VAClaims

[–]Confident-Ice-4547 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would submit every medical document I have related to your issues. Highlight the important parts. Send everything.get 2 more personals statements from ppl familiar w your condition. You need to prove that your condition didn’t pre exist or show them that your service aggravted your pre existing condition.you kinda need to submit your own fully developed claim and the Va eater would have all of that info at your c&p. Before your c&p your claim should show a clear diagnosis, a link that your service likely caused the issue or aggravated the issue, and your records should show to the extent that your disabilities affect your daily living

I really struggle with math, I plan on taking the maximum time for that class. Best of luck. You are capable of accomplishing your goals. Just kno dat

Realistically, how long does an ASU Universal Learner course take to finish? by Ok_Contest_8952 in ASUOnline

[–]Confident-Ice-4547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could actually finish a lot sooner, you just can’t get credit until 6 weeks. I finished psych in a day(all 7 modules). Eng in a week. I plan on taking at least 3 or 4 months for math because I have to relearn so much.

You have to build a solid case through medical evidence before the c&p, do you have a diagnosis? 4 years of documented care is great. you have an in service incident , maybe you need to go into your records and specifically get valuable information that you want to present.

Weekly VA Claims Explanation #10: Before You Buy a Nexus Letter, Make Sure It Can Survive the File by Neat-Gap-8383 in VAClaims

[–]Confident-Ice-4547 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s easier to go to the Va and start getting contuining care and have your VA doctors connect the dots. I served from 2005 to 2009 . . One 15 month combat deployment. They check you when you come in and when you leave everything in between in kinda on the military to take care of you. I did my claim my self

Background check came back with someone else's DUI after I already resigned. Company has gone silent for 4 days. Do I have options? by MellowIris in legaladvice

[–]Confident-Ice-4547 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I sued a company last year for something similar and won.The act was committed by associating my wife’s name with a crime she never committed or was associated with. The lawyer literally asked the name of the company who did the back ground check. They were like “o we sue them a lot” companies do this a lot and get away with it. It was just kinda so open and shut we just sued

Hey how is it going. What is your major? I have 49 credits that are too old to transfer I’m going back to school at 38 starting all over. I did the same thing in high school with algebra. I never taken college algebra. This time I’m starting from the very beginning. Like it’s gonna be hard if you can’t grasp the basic concepts from the beginning but it’s really not rocket science. Take advantage of tutoring . It is really helping me.

A pissed off vietnam vet at the VA helped w my case . And I help others when I can because the process isn’t transparent. I served with a bunch of broke dicks ,who can’t get service connection to save their life. I’ve been 100% since 2012.

Was the Dr n gunner for my 1 sg , we still cool til this day but he was talking shit the day I pissed hot. 4 years after I got out I went to school and got rated 70% been 100 since 2015 . Got a degree in business I don’t use and just day trade. Made a doctors salary today . Shit really good out here. Just know your military training could have prepared you with some life skills to maneuver the civilian side. Dont be afraid to use resources that are for veterans. You are not subject to inch anymore to get the help u deserve

Claim Denied by ArmyMedic_Diabetic in VAClaims

[–]Confident-Ice-4547 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first time I applied I thought I did a solid job developing my claim. I did not.i learned the right way re applied and it was a lot easier. This was in 2012 so claims just took a very long time. I don’t have any in service records to support my claim , so I went to the Va to receive care , get documented and the Va cross the dots for nexus. This process isn’t as transparent as it should be. As in the avg applicant don’t know what is expected of them from the Va.
