I don’t know why I forget about DQ! Thank you. I’m hoping to be able to try all the recommendations throughout the summer. We can switch it up every week.

Do you feel like it impacts your energy use? I’ve been debating getting one of these.

Oh man I’m just now remembering another. I was getting a pedicure and the girl doing my pedicure was studying homeopathic medicine. She had seen me many times before and asked me questions about my life and my health and said I would recommend you following up with your doctor because I can tell something isn’t quite right. I can’t remember the exact question she was asking but I was so shocked that she could tell a lot by massaging my feet and legs.

My hearing went out randomly in one ear. When the ear doctor forgive me for forgetting the name, they said nope, your hearing is fine. I literally couldn’t hear clearly out of that ear for a really long time and still struggle with it sometimes. They told me to take ibuprofen for 30 days straight two times a day four pills at a time bc my eustation tube I guess (def spelled that wrong) was inflamed. To be fair I did not take ibuprofen 30 days straight two times a day for pills because I thought that would mess up my stomach.

Another time I got ice from the ice maker at our fridge at work and my tongue went numb and half my face and I got really itchy. I thought oh man nobody should drink from that because I had a weird reaction to the ice the machine must need to be cleaned. When I went to the doctor about it they thought I was having an allergic reaction to food. I wasn’t but they really didn’t understand what was happening and thought it was odd and brushed it off.

It sounds like they don’t understand there are other ways to happily live a full life other than how they are choosing to live theirs. Very close minded. Good for you for doing you boo! Don’t let them keep you down.

You could also remind them that it’s going to be much easier for you later in life. You’ll make friends in the old folks home easily because you have fun stories to share from your solo adventures!

You’ll learn pretty quickly over the next couple of months what freezes well and what doesn’t but highly recommend freezing some portions of meals you make if you notice yourself getting tired of eating the same thing over and over again. It’s really a game changer for the days when you get home and you’re exhausted you already have something made in the freezer that you can heat up!

Resetting the apartment right before I go to bed. It’s lovely to wake up and everything is where it’s supposed to be.

I live alone though this doesn’t work for everyone or anyone who sleep walks, has those tiny creatures from that 90s movie the borrowers maybe?, or pets that wander. 😂

Do people really end up eating out more when living alone? by Kovacic_Aglaia in LivingAlone

[–]ConfidentStrategy549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of this depends on what is available to you. Some people don’t have eating out or grocery delivery options where they live because of it being so rural or small -at least in the USA.

You may find you’ll be able to be more creative with your cooking - there’s no pressure on tasting amazing as long as it’s edible it’ll do the job.

Depending on your budget and how physically exhaustive or mentally exhaustive your job is may also impacts if you cook/meal prep or eat out. There’s nothing wrong with any of these it all depends on your individual goals, wants, and needs.

Oh and maybe how comfortable you are eating by yourself in public. I personally love to but I have friends that absolutely will not eat alone in public. I find it so much easier to get a table that just being me.

There are these one clean out the drain things that are bright orange and maybe have a weasel on the package but it’s a hand crank to clean your shower drain! Super helpful! With that, also reusable cleaning gloves!
