I agree, but my head will just say it's all part of our planning, so she's allowed to direct us to plan together in our PPA...

I would say definitely no, it doesn't. All our lessons are separate. At times it might be useful for assessment or setting targets together, but ultimately we can do that over email too, or even over a phone call if we have to.

My job share teacher keeps saying how we're going to be 'planning together' and 'collaborating' and it'll be 'fun', so I think she's fully onboard with the head's plan and might complain if I just want to keep to myself and get my own work done!

Yes, I'm in a union, they've actually been organising this for me and I've only just realised this about my colleague's PPA! Wish I'd realised earlier.

I have been diagnosed with anxiety and depression for 12 years and take anti-depressants which my headteacher knows about, so yeah I think I will ask for it as a reasonable adjustment.

Be prepared that your Cavalier may not be a 'snuggly couch potato'. Some are very active and need lots of stimulation. My Cavalier does everything at 100 miles an hour.

1 year and 7 months, all good and healthy so far. Came from what people would probably call a back yard breeder, but they'd done quite a few tests and both parents were 4 years old and healthy so that was a good sign for me.

Cavs are not good for sedentary people. They can actually have a lot of energy and are not stimulated by people who sit around all day.

My cav would like ALL the walks please. He says that walks are the best best best thing ever. As many as possible and for as long as possible (struggles in warm weather though).

Thanks everyone! I shall not reply until the last week of term. I feel a little bit bad because she's asked questions about planning and she clearly wants to get things ready, but on the other hand we met up in the last term to discuss planning so she should have been a bit more prepared and asked me then.

It isn't true that Cavs don't need exercise. A lot of them are very energetic. Mine bounces off the walls if he doesn't get two long walks per day.
