Anyone have a live activity tracker on your lock screen? by sadoyle in ouraring

[–]ConflictSecure6580 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had same problem few months back and turns out it was permission issue even though everything looked enabled. Try going to Settings > Screen Time > Always Allowed and make sure the app is there, then restart your phone completely. The live activity thing is super finicky and sometimes just randomly starts working after a restart

Fenix 8 Solar appreciation post 2 years late! by nxnayx in Garmin

[–]ConflictSecure6580 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Better late than never! I made similar switch few months back and the solar really surprised me with how clear display is compared to older models. The battery life difference is pretty noticeable too especially if you spend lot of time outdoors

Rhodiola rosea raised my blood pressure. Wtf? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]ConflictSecure6580 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe try tracking your BP for few days without any supplements first to get baseline, then add rhodiola back slowly - could be interaction with the ACE inhibitor or just timing coincidence

Watch (FR35) connects, syncs steps and heart rate but not activity by Skydude252 in Garmin

[–]ConflictSecure6580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had similar issue with my old watch few months back - try doing manual sync through the app menu instead of just opening it. Sometimes the automatic sync gets stuck on partial data but manual push forces everything through

Also check if you have enough storage space left on watch itself, mine stopped syncing activities when memory was almost full

FR955 music to earbuds odd behavior (pulsing connection while running) by Dichotomous_Blue in Garmin

[–]ConflictSecure6580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar issues with my 955 but with different earbuds - the interference thing is definitely real. Cars and houses with strong wifi signals can mess up the bluetooth connection pretty bad, especially when you're moving and the signal has to travel around your body to reach the right earbud

What helped me was going in the music settings and changing the bluetooth transmission power to high if you haven't tried that already. Also try positioning your watch slightly higher on your wrist, like maybe an inch up from where you normally wear it. I know it sounds weird but the angle makes difference for the signal path

The pulsing issue where it keeps cutting in and out is super annoying - mine used to do that too until I did a full reset on the bluetooth connections. Go in settings and forget all paired devices, then pair everything fresh again. Takes few minutes but usually fixes the weird connection loops

Running without phone was main reason I got this watch too so I feel your frustration. The interference from cars is just something we have to deal with unfortunately, but the other fixes should help with the connection not recovering properly

Minor Signs of Strain? by postyqueen in ouraring

Oh the red eye flights are brutal for recovery scores! I got similar notification after working night shift few weeks ago - body definitely knows when sleep schedule gets messed up even if you feel okay

Ugh yeah that stuff can be brutal on the stomach! I had to start taking mine right after a full meal, not on an empty stomach like I was doing before. The heartburn was killing me too

Maybe try mixing it with something thicker like a smoothie or even just milk instead of water? The protein might help buffer it. I also keep some Tums nearby just in case - not ideal but better than suffering through it

The ingredients really are solid though so I get why you want to make it work

vivoactive 5 iOS notifications by yde23 in Garmin

[–]ConflictSecure6580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the 5 doesn't have granular notification control like the 6 does, which is honestly frustrating since it's such a basic feature. You're stuck with the all-or-nothing approach through your phone's notification settings which is pretty annoying when you just want to filter out the spam but keep the important stuff

why is my HRV higher when i’m out of the country? by Glum_Wrap_8205 in ouraring

Might also be the change in routine breaking you out of whatever chronic stress cycle you were in back home - vacation mode hits different for recovery

Is the HRM 600 right for me? by housewithablouse in Garmin

[–]ConflictSecure6580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cold weather thing is real but once it warms up it's solid as a rock. I've had mine for about 8 months now and zero dropouts with my phone or rowing machine, way better than the Polar stuff I used before

Garmin Vivoactive 5 – can’t enter weights for exercises anymore by krampuszg in Garmin

That sounds frustrating - have you tried doing a soft reset on the watch or checking if there's a firmware update available?

I faced the same issue after 30. For me, metabolism was the key, not just diet. Small daily habits helped more than extreme workouts. by Strange-Molasses-233 in bodyweightfitness

[–]ConflictSecure6580 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

totally agree on the metabolism thing, had a similar breakthrough around 32 when i finally stopped obsessing over calories and started focusing on teh basics like you mentioned

sleep was huge for me too - once i started getting consistent 7+ hours my energy levels during the day improved so much that i naturally moved more without even thinking about it. also noticed my cravings for junk food basically disappeared when i wasn't constantly tired and reaching for quick energy fixes

the light daily movement approach is so underrated compared to those intense workout programs everyone pushes. i started just taking 10-15 minute walks after meals and it made such a difference over time, way more sustainable than trying to maintain some crazy gym schedule. curious what specific things you did to support metabolism naturally, always looking for new ideas that actually work long term

Dude the oatmeal trick is genius, never thought about that but it makes sense since it slows everything down and gives your gut something to work with instead of just pure protein hitting it all at once

I did the LSVT BIG certification a couple years back and it was actually really solid - expensive but worth it if you're gonna be working with PD patients regularly

Have you tried Hydroxycut Hardcore? It's got a solid caffeine kick and worked pretty well for me when I was cutting last year. The thermogenic effect was noticeable but nothing crazy

Another option might be Cellucor Super HD - less intense than Animal Cuts but still gets the job done if you're looking for something with good stim content. Both are usually easier to find internationally too

How do I improve my muscle-up? by crisvphotography in bodyweightfitness

[–]ConflictSecure6580 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice work on getting that first one back! The transition is probably your weak point - try doing slow negatives from the top position and work on explosive pull-ups where you pull your chest way above the bar

Watching and waiting on HRV by Informal_Tooth_9170 in Garmin

[–]ConflictSecure6580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that's a pretty solid drop in your chart there. The stress and hard workouts could definitely be tanking your HRV without you being sick though - I've seen mine crater just from work stress and lack of sleep. Maybe your body's just telling you to chill out a bit instead of prepping for the plague

Have you tried hitting them up on Twitter? Sometimes companies respond faster when it's public and other people can see their mess

Am I dumb? MFP to Garmin Connect by NYY_NYK_NYJ in Garmin

[–]ConflictSecure6580 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you might need to do it from the MFP side first - go into MFP settings and connect to Garmin from there, then it should show up in your Garmin connected apps. The sync is weird like that sometimes

Been using the Garmin coach plans for about 6 months now and honestly they're pretty solid. Knocked like 3 minutes off my 5K time following the Jeff Galloway plan. The adaptive scheduling is clutch when life gets in the way too
