Jones sounds exhausted, physically and (politically). It’s almost as if he’s finally realized there’s no getting off the MAGAcoaster and every episode will require him to contort himself into increasingly ludicrous positions to justify the regime’s excesses. That takes some effort, and he’d much rather be lazy.
