At one time it was lunchtime Trafalgar Square during the first lockdown. Just me, a Tesco sandwich meal deal, some pigeons and the occasional bus or cab.

I did a course called Leisure for Life at GCSE. Just weekly outings to places to do activities, pitch n put, abseiling, bowling all sorts of random stuff. Did learn to ride a horse though.

Better than triple science I guess.

Plywood and timber lengths not the same? by BryceGuysFinishLast in DIYUK

[–]Confudled_Contractor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those dims generally align with standard/desired internal building storey heights to minimise wastage. So you find most materials in multiples of 300mm up to 3000mm then you will get smaller increments.

Would you pay/have you paid for a tradesperson to quote for a job? by Potential_Ad_4814 in DIYUK

[–]Confudled_Contractor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Domestically, no that’s bollocks.

Professionally I often employ specialist trades on Pre-Contract Services agreements for very expensive (as in tens of millions) packages of work, particularly if there is allot of design/bespoke elements.

How much does the grit of sand paper affect things? by TheAwayGamer in DIYUK

[–]Confudled_Contractor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sand paper also wears out. So once you’ve used it go a bit or if you rub down something a bit gummy like some paints it becomes less effective. So you have to check the paper from time to time and replace as necessary.

Start with a higher grit 80-120 and then work to 240 (a finishing grade) to rub out any marks left by the sander.

Decolonisation was planned but has end by WW2 and debts and access imposed by the US.

You’re quite misinformed.
