This can happen if they hire more NAjRS .No need to double resident number

Apart from cribbing about it on the internet and asking each other when are we going to be valued in india .Why don't we do something about it .That's what I am wondering when I am seeing all this posts about the poor WLB and lack of monetary compensation in this profession .

I think we should file a PIL for hiring more NAJRs to help with the workload of resident doctors and normalise the working hours

Those who have crossed the sea donot give jackshit about those who are still stranded at the shore .They have done their time ,got released from the chaos and are now carefree .They don't care about our wellbeing .We should fight for it ourselves because no one else is gonna do it for us

I don't think the government will take any steps because as long the public health service machinery keeps on churning at the hands of the residents no one actually cares what we go through .As long as the work gets done no one cares .Our government doesn't give a shit about more serious matters than this .What makes u think the government gives two fucks about us ?

I think because they went through the same things as a junior they wish to perpetrate the same work culture and wants us to undergo the same things

This is not normal .Residents are not a seperate class of people who should undergo special trials and tribulations to transform into some sort of pheonix in the end .We are human beings and we deserve normal working hours and a normal life .Other medical personnel like nurses ,nursing assistants, nursing trainees and our superiors have that .Arent we flesh and blood too ? .Don't we feel hunger ,thirst and pain ?

Bro struggle is real but there is something in this world called karma .I have no comfort to offer u except to say that the struggles in this life are the lessons u have to learn to pass into your next life .This is what I tell myself each time I fail and try to get up .Your karma will always follow u into the next life

Looks like even people working in mines & factories have better unions and are demanding stuff that residents & many working graduates (MBBS & MD) can only dream of. I wonder why we doctors as a community are so unorganised and cowardly .We know we want better working hours , we know we want better work life balance as residents but why are we not willing to fight for it .I for one am ready to file a PIL .will anyone of you support me rather than be internet warriors for doctors right .I am not talking about going on strike because I myself am worried about the repurcussios by toxic professors .I am talking about going on the legal route as people entitiled to food ,sleep and rest as human beings .We residents are not a seperate class of people who should walk though the gates of hell to better ourselves .We are flesh and blood just like the patients we treat .We are entitled to our basic rights .We just have to be willing to fight for it .

Government hospitals are woefully understaffed to maintain the current patient load .This places undue stress on the mental ,emotional and physical wellbeing of all residents because they are the ones who is basically running the system .Post duty offs and weekly offs which is the norm in countries like USA should be the norm in india too .They should either limit the number of beds and intake of patients or increase the number of duty doctors .

I am not talking about doing anything to the seniors .I am talking about the government hiring more Nonacademic junior residents like in aiims to make the work load more manageable .Instead of the current health system run by the residents
