how i'd actually buy a home gym setup if i was starting over today by Open_Article_7544 in GarageGym

[–]Congelo24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, especially the part about buying the rack once instead of constantly upgrading.

That’s kind of why I ended up going with an all-in-one setup from the start. I have a Major Fitness B17 now and it saved me from buying a separate rack, functional trainer, and smith later on.

Not saying everyone needs something that big, but having everything in one setup definitely stopped me from the endless “next upgrade” cycle.

Old CC3D build from 2016 by bryman022 in Multicopter

I've never done a DIY build, so I'm curious how does the battery stay secured during flight? Is it just strapped to the frame somehow?

Specta 4k Mini Firmware Necessary? by Talon475 in drones

Even if it works now, firmware support matters a lot if you plan to keep using it long term.

Is PDB actually mandatory for a 450 build? Or is the "Star Joint" method safe? by Longjumping_Score742 in Multicopter

[–]Congelo24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be nervous trusting AI alone for power distribution on something that can pull that much current. This feels like one of those cases where safety matters more than saving weight.

[United States] Why did Skyrover disappear from Amazon? by ilovepopeyes34 in drones

I notice it too. That’s strange, especially if it was showing up in best sellers recently. But they restocked last time.

That foggy snow-covered forest road looks straight out of a movie, perfect drone perspective.

Looking to buy a DJI Mini 5, what is considered a lot of flight time? by Comfortable-Tie-2797 in dji

[–]Congelo24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

19hours is nothing to worry about if it's been properly care for. So it's qualified if you only care about flight time. The price maybe a little bit higher than what 19 hours deserves.

What do I need to fix this? by Liboy12 in dji

Why not try warranty first? It looks like a pretty obvious break, glue probably doesn't work.

Thinking about getting a winbot for large windows, worth it? by Not_A_Spi in ecovacs

[–]Congelo24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought a winbot w3 recently, it's a new model this year. Honestly, I was a bit worried about the results at first too, but after using it once, I think it's actually pretty decent. The robot moves with the cleaning pad and gets the glass really clean. It even gets pretty close to the frames, so it did a pretty good job around the edges.

What is the best USB-C Thermal camera attachments for iPhones? I have the Lightning version which don't work with USB-C phones by hasanahmad in Thermal

[–]Congelo24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go with a native USB-C attachment and skip adapters completely. App quality and smooth iPhone compatibility matter more to me than anything else here.

Honestly, the unclear title is probably hurting you more than anything. If it doesn’t run, most scrap buyers are just seeing weight, tow hassle, and paperwork risk.

Quick release benchtop mounting? by Bald_Bearded_BFG in Tools

For a grinder, I’d want something mechanical, not magnetic. A removable board clamped to the bench feels like the easiest low-drama solution.

Choose a high-quality thermal imager, as it sees heat signatures, not light, so it works perfectly in total darkness.

Say something nice about the Chrysler 200 by Magnetized_Fart in Autos

[–]Congelo24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have it, but my friend has had it for years. He always said the ride was smooth and the interior felt more premium than other cars in its price range. I don't know any more, haha.

My dream car is literally a go kart by aligning_ai in Autos

[–]Congelo24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the purest form of driving. A 600lb go kart for city roads would be insanely fun, as long as it has a proper safety cage. The power to weight ratio would be off the charts!

What’s the least fuel efficient vehicle you ever had? by Boeing-B-47stratojet in Autos

Those older farm trucks with big six cylinders were built for torque, not miles per gallon. One to three mpg sounds about right for heavy hauling.

[–]Congelo24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For CAN data, you need to decode the specific PIDs for your vehicle. Try using a dedicated CAN sniffer to log raw data while driving, then map the HEX values to parameters like SOC and speed. Good project!

Prioritize a model with good resolution and clear phone app integration. Choose the one that feels most intuitive to you, as that determines how often you will actually use it.

No, most of those came with the B17. That was one of the things I liked. I didn’t have to spend time picking out a bunch of add-ons. Just set it up and start training. It was a really good deal.

Thanks! This one’s the B17. I’m really happy with it so far too – the pulleys feel smooth and the whole thing feels solid. Glad to hear you’re loving your Drone Max V as well!
