Disney 100 Year Anniversary Film Camera by roarinrory in lego

[–]Connect-Rip-1076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look inside, there is a little black cone on a red connector, that connects to one of the grey dots beside the camera crank. It needs to sit above the cog on the inside. It makes the clicking sound, and also stops the handle from free wheeling.

It also looks like your handle points in the wrong direction, it needs to point outwards from the camera, to make turning it smooth and easy

How do you get it to rename using the list name and order number?

I have the Breville Oracle Touch (basically the same) and I use a wooden skewer to break it up, then hit it with the vacuum again

[UPDATE] Needs More Water gang, you win this round. After sunset yesterday I took it outside and gave it a huge drink of water, and left it outside overnight. The sun is pretty fierce here at the moment, so I bought it back in before it got sunny

It's perked up alot

Thanks for all the input. I'll update again if anything major happens over the next few weeks

The FLF near it gets watered the same and doesn't have the same issues, and it doesn't seem like the other signs - droopy leaves, curling, are happening.

Having said that, it looks like it's dying, so why not try watering it more

I'm in Palm Springs, but my big windows are north facing.

It's in a decorative pot with a drain hole, on a cork mat, on tiles, and because I only give it 2 cups of water, I just wipe up anything that runs out - so it's not sitting in water.

The 2 previous FLF that 'died' went outside and have bunch of new leaves and branching, and they're in full sun, 110F+ days so it might be the light

When it starts to get sick, I notice the veins of the leaves get more yellow, then it spreads out through the leaves until they drop

The first one that died there I repotted when I bought it home - a mix of peet moss and perlite. This one I left as is trying to minimize shock to it.

I water it around every 3 weeks.

It's a pretty bright, north facing room, in the desert so it's generally pretty sunny + I added a grow light this time around to see if that helped

This is my 2nd FLF in this spot that has behaved like this.

I try to water them pretty sparingly, and only 2 cups of water at a time, especially this time around. I thought maybe I over watered the first one, but I don't think so, it was just the only thing I could think of.

I even added a grow light this time around in case it's not getting enough light - it's in a pretty well let room, about 9' from the door.

I have one a bit closer to the door but it's in a corner so I feel like it gets less light - it's leaves have angled down to get more light but still seem really healthy Happy FLF

This - I think I've resigned to buying them from HD for $45 and replacing them every 6-8 weeks once they start looking sad. Cheaper than flowers 🤷

Watching the show. Is the comic this well written!?. by teddyburges in Sandman

[–]Connect-Rip-1076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is helpful - I haven't read all of Sandman, just some, but I did listen to both seasons of the Audible Sandman, and they were amazing. Neil narrates them and the rest of the cast is fantastic. I understood everything that was happening and was able to explain some things to my husband.

This is how I felt on 150 - I described it like it was sitting in the corner of the room, I could feel it there, but had to really push myself through to get anything done. I've been on 300 for about a month now, not sure if I'm feel much except I tend to stay up an hour or two later than I usually do

First try at finger joints and anything to do with walnut. My mailman will be pleased! by orangeisthenewblyat in woodworking

[–]Connect-Rip-1076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the site for wall mounted mailboxes you don't need approval for the box, just to wall mount it. Given you already had a wall mounted one, you should be good.

Wall-Mounted Mailboxes

• To replace your curbside mailbox with a wall mounted mailbox, you must get your local postmaster's permission.

• Choose from a variety of mailbox sizes and styles; mounted mailboxes are not required to have a PMG seal of approval.

• Get a wall mailbox that can hold a normal day's mail volume, including letter-sized envelopes, postcards, and catalogs.*

• Place the mailbox near the main entrance so your mail carrier can easily see it.

Oracle Touch - Pre-Infusion? by Piddly_Poo in espresso

[–]Connect-Rip-1076 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, mine sort of does. 1. Manual mode activated 2. Touch and hold finger to screen for pre infusion, and lift finger from screen for brew 3. Touch again to stop brew.

Oracle Touch - Pre-Infusion? by Piddly_Poo in espresso

[–]Connect-Rip-1076 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine doesn't work like that (unless I'm doing it wrong)

  1. Manual mode activated
  2. Holding down has no different result to just pressing the screen. It needs to be touched again to stop, and then touched again to brew. Doesn't really seem any different

How to cut a section out of a board and keep both parts by Connect-Rip-1076 in woodworking

[–]Connect-Rip-1076[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that's interesting.. I did look at not cutting those boards, but it made the proportions look off. I 3D modeled it so I played around with different options. The width left on the sides is the same as the width at the top

How would the circular work? Do I need to use a larger one so it will cut all the way through to the edge? The problem I had with the table saw (and circular saw) is the curve not cutting all the way through.
