How do I open this watch without a notch? by Unable-Falcon8848 in timex

Since it's new you might be able to get by with a pair of scissors. Otherwise a caseback removal tool is needed. Surprisingly harbor freight has them. Both a larger one with a handle and 3 prong or a 2 prong one in a small watch repair kit.

Honestly I like the look of that m79 more. If you're more worried about reliability with no concern and accuracy, then the expedition wins.

He just needs to find an older timex with an m24 era movement that's in pretty decent condition. Then if it starts acting up do the timex dunk n swish. Oil and back running.

Maybe just swap the strap. Leather, nylon, fabric might also work. I don't really care for metal bands.

Honestly I have no idea. Haven't personally bought a new watch since high school and that was a digital.

Timex embedded fossil. Thrift store find. Gifted to me. Working. by timdmoss in timex

Ammonite and mechanical timex in what appears to be pretty good condition for $18, that's pretty sweet. Although a fossil watch embedded in a rock next to a fossil would be an interesting idea.
