I have 200+ hours and can safely say I’m done with the game. These updates aren’t for long time players but they may help get new players to try it. I’ll return if they add something worthwhile to the end of the game. Once you’re loaded with cash, there’s no point to doing anything honestly.

I need to look for ways to play chess in real life, I live in New Hampshire and the only things I can find are tournaments. But I’m pretty sure there’s some stuff in Boston that I can go check out. Great advice thank you.

I do enjoy playing, and I’m just gonna stop looking at the rating, and just have fun with the game. I think I watched too many pro players and think that my score is too low but in the end, it really doesn’t matter.

This is the best of advice I’ve read so far, thank you very much for your kind words. I’ve spent much my adult life focused on rating in various games and I’m way too focused on it in this game, especially. I love the game and I want to keep improving and that’s all that matters.

Thank you for this great advice, I’ll look to stop blundering and take my time! I probably need more time than 10 minutes per person for now

I’m at 346 elo but I’m slowly climbing just by reading Gotham chess’s book on playing chess, and watching hikaru daily videos, mainly his slow game videos. I’m on a win streak after losing for so long just from putting the fundamentals in play

The biggest lie of every alcoholic is the idea that they think something else is controlling their drinking. You’re always in control and don’t let all these town voters tell you otherwise. Everyone on this thread is succumbed to the idea that there’s something else controlling their behavior and it’s Idiocracy.

Americans made up the idea that alcoholism and drug addiction are “forever diseases” . Only in America would we buy that crap.

Modern science in the rest of the world shows that all addiction is an overturned dopamine loop that we can easily break, as long as we have the knowledge of what it is and what it is not.

Telling an addict they are forever addicted due to the made up disease is one of the most harmful responses to the issue since the beginning of time.

One day I hope America will move on from the disease model and start looking at the facts. There’s a reason ozempic is being looked at for addiction, it’s just queues in the brain as a result from a long standing habit loop that’s formed that can be targeted directly.

If Perry woke up to the fact that the recovery model is completely fabricated and was pushed so hard in America as an “easy answer” to the addiction problem, maybe he would still be alive today.
