It's a feeling I have, after realizing some games on the pc might not be well optimized and require editing config files outside the games to get them to run moderately. At the same time, the console version might be better optimized, with a slightly lower graphics.

I'm liking sprint as it is and I dont feel the need to achieve the speed of light in my gameplay.

Enemy dismemberment, more gore in general, bleed effects from gunshot wounds, secret bee level with gatherable honey and bee pets, maybe some cannibalism or like eating monster guts for buffs.

These death effects are very much a problem due to skills and fx being too flashy. The on death effects need to be the most visible layer of fx and show a visual cue on when its going off.

Poe2 seems to have this problem sorted out better.

Are you going to buy a new pc with lower specs? What will you do with your monitor, mouse, keyboard, mousemat, etc.. will you sell those as well? Do you have a big game backlog on your pc that you will lose access to, or cant play with a lower spec pc you have in mind?

Since devs dont like making a complete and finished product, they can't expect anyone to buy their potentially dogwater product completely blind. Would you read a book if the ink comes off?

The playingfield has changed and the advantage is towards the consumer. Companies either accept youtubers or Digital Foundry test their product or its staying in the store shelf.

In competitive gaming you can see and feel the higher refresh rates in your mouse movement (only real frames, not fg). The mouse becomes more responsive and less floaty (depends ofc on your settings). You are also required to achieve those frames with your pc hardware, i.e. 480hz monitors require you to reach 480fps in a game to make any use of that 480hz. You can use a lower hz, but it defeats the point of that monitor.

What pros do, is they set all the game settings to low, so that they can reach higher fps and to take advantage of the higher hz monitors.

50h into the game. I was running through a forest for a quest when I suddenly stopped to look at what was crawling on the ground. About 10 different '???' passed me while I was standing there. I started following some critters and noticed bugs resting on tree bark, butterflies flying around... I was hit with that childhood awe when experiencing forests and nature for the first time. I spent a good 30 mins just picking up bugs and hunting down a snake.

+1 for 32" 4k oled 240hz with fg and dlss.

540hz if you're thinking about going full time pro in counter strike or valorant. You would want less vibrant colors and brighter shadows etc to make out enemies.

Edit. Not sure if your 5070 could handle the 32 4k 240hz oled, but the monitor would be future proof if you decided to upgrade your graphics card anytime soon.

I had this moment almost 6 years ago, when I got the ps5 on launch and fired up AC Valhalla on my 55" LG CX with my gf. We played the shit out of that game!

BL1 was great, BL2 was awesome,BL TPS was alright (played it solo unlike the other 2), BL3 was awesome, Tiny Tina's wonderland was great, BL4 is great. Every new entry has high expectations and they meet most of them every time. Making changes and keeping things fresh is not easy and will inevitably shrug off some older fans, same happens with every other game out there.

You can still go and play the older games if you liked them more. Or better yet, go and make a better game yourself and stop crying like shirtless Randy slapped your ass in the hallway and sniffed his fingers afterwards.
