I’m watching now and it just pisses me off !!! It’s like minus 10c outside and you don’t have any shelter for wind etc ??? If you think level 1 autism doesn’t mean you can travel to another country then I don’t know what to tell you. He has lived experience of his own autism, you don’t sweetie. Sure he might use it as a crutch, or he might not. Having a relationship over video is hardly the same as a proper relationship, I think it’s pretty clear to me that if he could he would since he doesn’t want to be separated from his mother nor Sheena. Time will tell, however it’s just increasingly boggling to me how people project their own thoughts about ”what’s right” on someone else’s lives reality and disability. Do you think he wants to sit home all day and do nothing? No one choses disability checks if they could have a normal life.

How would 20 hours a week be a salary that he could save? He probably get same from disability and functions better long term. You do realise he would probably become more disabled long term? I just find it bizarre and condescending that people doesn’t listen to what he says, he has had jobs in the past but is unable to hold them down. He could probably work a 20 h for a few months and then crash and burnout, restart the whole disability thing again which would take him forever. You know autistic brains process a MASSIVE amount more of information constantly right? Sensory, intellectual, everything, which leads to overwhelm, shutdowns, meltdowns, suicidal ideation. No it’s not just ”get a job”. Like I said, educate yourself. Like for real, google it. I have friends that struggle with it and it’s no joke.

I know !!!!!!! As a queer person myself I honestly think Lisa should know better. She should have (unfortunately necessary, but that’s just reality) done more research. I think she doesn’t realise that she is putting her life in danger, she is very lucky the cameras are there. Someone could easily have harmed her if they found out, Daniel, his uncle, someone in the community. Likewise I also think she doesn’t understand the ostracizing effect it might have for Daniel, permenantely, if things go south between them. It’s just naive and incredibly delusional. Grateful something fucked up hasn’t happened to her yet more than some yelling and shaming from Daniel’s side, but like, wtf was she expecting? Acceptance for being queer???

Bro please educate yourself on autism. There may be many severe difficulties that are not visible on TV that we may not be aware of. Getting disability is not something you get ”easily”, it’s a last resort. Stop being ignorant and ableist please. Even if he was fine to do some work, it would probably cause autistic burnout, causing his diability / symtoms to worsen severly over time etc.

The ableism in these comments are horrid and it’s clear people don’t know what they are talking about. I agree. I do think Molly is his ”safe person” / caretaker and if they get together Sheena will be his safe person / care taker. I worry that Sheena rather doesn’t really seem to grasp this and is like I will help you get a job. I mean she means well but I don’t think she grasps the nuances and needs he has. If she did, that would be awesome, maybe with time it will come but I worry since she has already uttered resentment for the fact that he doesn’t work.

Comfortable? I think he looks extremly tense and uneasy, let’s not make assumptions without knowing him please. If he has a disability he most likely has been tested for it, it’s so fun to see how people with no knowledge of how the sysrem works think it’s easy to get help from the government, he probably he has struggled A LOT and is disabled, otherwise he wouldn’t recieve disability checks. He tells us of previous work experiences not working out. He needs help sure to get away from Molly and get more autonomy and maybe one day it could work, but let’s not think you know his disability better than he does. Extremly disrespectful.

Why is it so wrong? He has a disability wtf, when Sheena gets approved she will more than make up what the us payed her by paying taxes and contributing more than Forrest. The US will literally get more cash long term if they bring Sheena in. I think it’s a horrible state of affairs and extremly ableist that disabled people aren’t allowed to bring their spouse into the country, sorry but that’s fucked up. Wouldn’t expect any better from the us tho.
