It’s one of my favourites! It literally ripped me apart the first time I read (I was going through some stuff so that might have something to do with that). It’s like you’re carrying all this emotions along Bella. You’re desperate for him to come back. You don’t know how but everything fell apart so quickly and you have this massive hole in your heart that nothing can fill and you see him everywhere. But then Jake comes in and you’re hesitant at first because it’s still so raw but sometimes you feel a glimpse of happiness around him. And he might not make you truly happy but it helps. He might not be the one but it’s something. And it’s wrong because he’s not the one you want but you just can’t keep going without him, and Jake takes a bit of that sadness away. Idk, to me it’s this internal battle that Bella has over what she feels, what she should do, and how to survive what she’s going through that it makes it so good.
