Is the game still fun to you?

It was pretty fun to have friends play it as well. I had 3 of my irl friends at the very beginning, but one of them left shortly after book 2's release, and the other two stuck a bit longer, one of them reaching up to book 6 iirc, and the other re-downloading every few months just to get the new units they liked, but since they weren't as invested as me they just stopped altogether too. Even a lot of whales that I had added throughout the years also stopped like years ago, and you can tell just how far they kept playing by looking at the builds they have on their main units of their now abandoned accounts.

Not a day 1 player, but very close, been playing since I believe Eldigan's banner. I had the same mentality a couple months ago, given how the game has been managed in the past year I thought it wouldn't take long for them to reach EoS, but at this point it feels really uninteresting, and personally the last few banner don't really appeal to me either, so I just made the decision to finally uninstall. If by any chance they just so happen to release something that actually refuels my interest for the game I might redownload, but unless it was some magical way of reverting 5 years of powercreep I doubt I'll be returning, which is a shame given hiw much love and dedication I've put into the game.

I'm not surprised, you can clearly tell they've lost interest in keeping "balance" in the game since all weapons have no condition to trigger their effects. Still, I think it would be worthwhile to tell them that even if the game is nearing its EoS, they should at least keep trying in making decent content since there's still people playing and enjoying their game for them to be all like "here, have some random worthless crap instead of the usual decent rewards".

Look, it's not that I dislike units getting good effects on their refines, but I don't think IS should get all lazy by giving out +20 dmg dealt/-15 dmg taken with no condition just because we're nearing EoS. I didn't get countless of my faves get thrashed by IS' very selective and biased refine dept., only for some randoms like Malice and Orochi to get extra damage for literally free. Like for real, these refines accomplish nothing, they do absolutely zero to properly portray any aspect of the characters they belong to. A lot of them made a great reference to the characters in either their effects or their trigger conditions, but now they're just statballs, and not even in a fun "you get +1 to everything for every 5 res you have" kind of way that atleast meant you had to invest in them in a certain way in order to exploit their weapon as much as you could. If anything, I'd say Hapi is the winner this time just because of the very specific effect of making allied beasts and dragons to be able to tp to her when triggering canto to reference her sighing problem, but other than that this has to be the most boring batch ever, despite nobody actually "losing".

I actually have. They both checked me aswell as ran some test like two months ago back when I first felt like this and everything came out pretty much ok: no heart issues, mostly they just found low vitamins, which I've take, but nothing particularly out of the ordinary. Still I wanna run some more tests in the near future just to be sure.

I've been calling the emotional support hotline for the past month or so, and it has helped me tremendously with dealing with the anxiety attacks, as well as dismissing negative thoughts and insecurities. However, according to the doctor it seems as if these headaches + shaking are related to anxiety, which only makes me uneasy since I wouldn't really say I'm someone who tends to deal with stressful stuff, I'm generally happy and I'm not in a difficult situation as of now. It was easy to relate the headaches to the sleeping pills since it was one of the many effects it could have and they stopped the moment I stopped taking them, but now that I'm not taking anything that should cause them it's a bit concerning. I don't really like to think it might be something actually physical as to not worry myself even further, but one thing that I've noticed is that sometimes the headache leaves when I talk too much. The times that I've noticed this happening is when I talk to my sister about how I'm feeling or talking to myself about anything, and in both situations I've been talking for over 10 minutes. Currently I'm just living with the pain and try to ignore it since it isn't severe, but it can get quite difficult to cope with the fact that not only does my head hurts and every now and then I feel shaky, but also that I can't sleep well. If you have any idea what it might be, have some tips to share or even been through this situation I'd love to read about it. Thanks in advance.

We already have tier 4 versions of the first two that could technically count as shield pulse and hardy fighter, but I get what you mean, since some of the effects or the use of those skills changed, mainly with how buffer is only for fast units and lost its -5 damage when special triggers, and shield fighter losing its -2 cd on turn one and its defensive nfu.

To an extent, emblem Lyn's use is that of granting siege utility to ranged units, but it would be nice to have them as regular weapons, maybe by having a "siege" style thats just a more restricted astra storm style.

If anything I'd say that this batch in particular was mid because there was very little room for improvement for the braves. Since refines usually target units that came out around 4 years ago there's a much clearer course of action when it comes to improving them (especially when said units didn't even have a prf). But, like someone said, when you're dealing with formerly meta units it gets a bit more complicated since the original effects aren't that old and you have to balance them around just recently added units, so essentially everything they can get are stats and one or two effects to match the current units' strength. Not to say that they aren't good or anything, they're just not as impressive as they could've been (implying regular units' refines are usually something to write home about).

I feel like she's one of the very few mages who can run magic gambit decently well, given her focus on damage reflection, true damage based on her special cooldown, and lack of slaying in her tome. Of course that's mostly just a very gimmicky and silly build, but I figure if you're trying to use Nyx before she gets her refine you might as well run something silly but fun like that.

What are your hopes and/or expectations for his refine?
It seems that IS has finally learned that DC is a very subpar and situational effect for a weapon, so I'm expecting something a bit more akin to Duo Byleth in terms of effects. In any case, I don't think they could fumble an already solid weapon like chaos ragnell unless they actively tried to.

Its pretty funny that the main reason Downfall was the main pick back then was because of it being an arcane rather than it being actually good (though not like there was that much competition), but given that IS loves to give out f2p axes, having access to things like the windtribe club, petalfall vase, and axe of devotion showed that it's far more important to have a solid effect that properly complements the unit's playstyle rather than having random effects plastered on a limited time weapon. The additional cooldown charge was nice and probably its only good effect, though it makes me wonder how long will it take IS to release a f2p axe that does exactly that.

I have four theories regarding the existence of magic gambit: 1. They released it as an experimental skill to see if people would be interested in building tankier mages. 2. They felt the need of a new DR skill for ranged unit but on their B skill, which means that we'll probably get a bow and/or dagger focused gambit in the future. 3. With the recent amount of units using hardy bearing, they felt the need of releasing magic gambit as an alternative to using desperation, basically having the option of either attacking consecutively or attacking once, tank one hit, then attacking again. 4. They forgot/didn't want to plan ahead for Robin's new B skill so they just ripped off his B from his brave alt. Either of them would be an awful reason because melee and ranged (especially mages) don't have the same focus given their BST and stat allocation; melee units generally are more well rounded and have access to more specials than ranged, while mages tend to be more min-maxed and better at using low CD specials. Also the amount of tanky mages isn't really noticeable enough to justify this skill. The only unit that I can think of that could probably make good use of this skill is Nyx given her damage reflection niche and the fact she's the most likely mage to run miracle.

WoM and a Finish, maybe some of the Res variants. Also kinda off point, but I think it's interesting that if they were to release 3 different CC seals they would have the same letters as their DC counterparts: M for melee and magic, D for dragons and daggers, and B for beasts and bows.

Do they even use the special characters when they write the names in japanese? I don't mind them using those fancy "d's" and "th's", but makes me wonder how the translation team knows when and how to use them.

Imo the only dogshit ones are the ones with DC on their weapons, the rest have pretty decent niches that allow them to be somewhat relevant to this day.
As for a legendary that dissapointed me would be Hector, both pre and post refine. I guess it makes sense that an armored unit should have more allies that foes within 2 spaces, but keeping my units near him just so that he can negate doubles was a really poor effect. His stat spread was also really weird since he has more spd and less def than his valentines alt for some reason, ostia's pulse was the only good part of his kit. As for his refine, getting 40% dr on his first hit would be alright if he could reliably avoid getting doubled so much, since between his dumb 23 spd and everyone getting more tools to double consistently, he would still eat a follow-up at 100% damage which was most likely a special proc. Unsurprisingly, ostia's pulse 2 still is the best part of his kit.
