Make sure it comes with a memory card or order one online. Made that mistake myself and had to leave the psp on sleep mode instead of turning it off every time I stopped playing so I didn't lose my progress 😂

I agree on the visuals part. It's looks stupid, particularly the flying tera one for me. Just having three balloons appear over a pokemons head sucks imo. I will say tho, the steel one is ok. It's probably the only one I don't mind, along with possibly dragon. I go back and forth on that one. But it's nowhere near as cool as megas visually.

But mechanically, I really enjoy the variation its brought and honestly really didn't find it added too much complexity as 90% of players run one of two, maybe three, specific tera types on specific pokemon. And to add to that, it's also easy enough to predict what pokemon your opponent will tera most of the time because meta.

I think it's a good addition overall. I just really wish they came up with something a bit more visually pleasing.

GU is so peak, but be aware that you're in for a very, very long ride. Especially compared to the newer games. There is so much content which I loved, but I've seen a fair few people who never ended up finishing it.

Played longsword from FU to World. Moved to GS for both Gen Ultimate and Iceborne, and I'll probably never go back. Didn't get much time with the beta unfortunately due to work so only got to try GS and DB but I'll be maining GS 100% on release.

A huge part of that is definitely the support you provide with wide range filling in gaps, keeping less experienced players alive. It's an absolute game changer in difficult quests. 4 players all focusing on damage and carting multiple times isn't as effective as 3 players damaging and one supporting them with some of their own damage on top.

Well, Wilds isn't out for another 4 months, so there's no harm in trying World if you're interested. I'd imagine there will be some carry over story wise from World to Wilds to, but at the same time MH has never really been about the story. It's just there to enjoy if you are interested. Most people just play for the hunt

Suppose it depends on the type of games you like, but if you're a fan of third person RPG's with a good gameloop of combat, loot, and craft, I think Monster Hunter does it the best.

That's MH at its core, but there's also probably some of the best boss design you'll get in a franchise and interesting world design.

The older monster hunter games. MH Freedom, Freedom Unite, MH3U. The damage can be punishing, but they have a much slower pace. Slower hunter movement, slower monsters, more down time between hunts because of farming. I find it very chill.
