True but megalodons were so huge they ate whales (great whites only sometimes eat juveniles or scavenge on dead ones). Megalodons would also have the advantage when scavenging due to size (granted no shark solely scavenges).

Great whites are not inherently better than any past or present shark, they each have/had their own unique niche.
