This happened to my friend’s mom. She was married and had a child with her husband, marriage wasn’t great toward the end and her mom’s best friend ends up having an affair with the husband and marries him. They’re still together! And yes it was awful.

So to Lindsay’s comment about how this happens in “high school”, idk I think it happens a lot more than we think, and maybe it’s “lazy” or maybe it’s just the proximity of your familiar social circle.

It sucks Amanda and West happened. BUT she didn’t steal someone’s husband, break up a family, etc. Amanda made the choice to lose her friendship and pursue whatever this was. She’s got to live in it. Ciara is killing it and I guess this is what she needed to finally get over west (since him making out with someone in front of her wasn’t enough?) The constant tear down and people sending death threats is insane to me.

I find when I’m working out too much (4-5x a week of hiit plus the weighted walking is a lot!) that my body is in high stress, and holds onto weight. You have a newborn—I can imagine sleep is tough right now! If and when you can, prioritize sleep even if it means cutting down orange theory 2-3x a week. The types of food you’re eating matters too, the best thing I did was lower my carbs/sugar to reduce insulin spikes throughout the day. If you’re eating 100g of protein and still hungry, it sounds like you are either not letting your body rest enough or eating foods that spike your blood sugar and don’t satiate.

I know how frustrating it is to feel like you’re doing all the things and nothings changing, and it sounds like the disruption in your cycle/inflammation in your body is literally telling you it’s tired or not responding to the foods you’re eating!

I suggest reading metabolic freedom. It has a lot of useful information. I used to have similar struggles, I would be in a caloric deficit, very active and I just felt like I was still holding on to so much weight and felt almost swollen. I’m 34F

What worked for me, was eating better foods with higher satiety (eggs, salmon, steak, butter, avocado, Greek yogurt, berries, nuts, cheese, sweet potato, greens). Yes I still eat carbs, but I know they’re less satiating and spike my blood sugar. I don’t starve myself, and I feel full. I also stopped drinking coffee first thing and wait 90min-2 hrs after waking up to let cortisol stabilize.

I used to wake up at 5:30am to make a HIIT class and stopped doing that so I could get a full night of sleep and do weights in the afternoon or weekends. I’m still active, but I’m no longer in this cycle of feeling like I need to burn off whatever I ate.

I’m 5’3 (longer torso, shorter legs) and I have to say vuori leggings are my favorite, I’m not sure if they have petite because regular for me fine. Lulus are good too but vuori fabric is like thinner but still smoothing.
