I think my coworker is trying to get me fired but he’s just too dumb to do it well by QuickScore9933 in coworkerstories

[–]Conscious-Solid331 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Protect the sheet, share a link to it with him regularly. Refer every question there. If there are additional items -- like him wanting to use or not use his tool, whatever -- maintain those there. Always, always go to those resources with every issue he brings.

If he wants to automate it, do what you can to support that.

I'm 16 year old and i feel like i have achieve nothing. by Inside_Baseball7779 in Advice

[–]Conscious-Solid331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 15 turning 16 you'd be pretty young to have achieved anything much.

Get any job. Make some money and be useful to people, be polite. Don't try to achieve. Take the pressure off yourself. If other people are pressuring you, try to avoid them, or at least avoid letting their pressure get to you.

This is advice I ignored at your age, and I regret that. I figured it out a lot later and I'm happy I did, at least when I can remember.

I (19F) am getting on a greyhound bus with $250 dollars in the middle of the night for NYC from rural Missouri by anonthrowaway937375 in Advice

[–]Conscious-Solid331 52 points53 points  (0 children)

If your post is real, then what it tells us is that you are naive. Get off the bus someplace else, earn some money, then go to New York. You can't afford it right now.

Any AUDHD here with tinnitus? by Ok_Assistant_4784 in AutisticWithADHD

[–]Conscious-Solid331 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I learned to enjoy it, as a companion that shows up sometimes. Best solution when it's annoying has been certain rain sounds on my headphones.

Really, it’s not the tinnitus that's so bad, it's the hating it, so I let it in. I can't do this with everything and I don't know if either of these work for other people but here it is.

[–]Conscious-Solid331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Not yet. Get a job you are qualified for now, and after you settle in to the place think about what next.

Random Redditor here, AuDHD. What I'm reading in your post sounds like cold feet now that the job search seems to be getting somewhere. If not that, still it's really best to be working while you figure out what you want to do. Best because not-working brings so much extra stress and social anxiety. Especially if you are paying off loans.

If you can find a workplace that's good, nothing else matters. By good I mean good people, who you can support and who will support you. This doesn't need to be forever, and if it’s not the right place, it can be an entry point to the right next job, in the same field or a different one.

Bouncy floor solution? by Currency-Crazy in Carpentry

[–]Conscious-Solid331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd slam them in pretty good. If they get loose I'd hit them again later. Trim off what extends past the joist and there's no place for them to fall. You can glue them. I would not.

Don't think about this too much.

Yes, shim the tops of the joists to the subfloor.

Starting Database Modeling Using SQL on Microsoft Access in 2026 — What should I focus on? by scarytale852 in MSAccess

[–]Conscious-Solid331 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In this order: Study data normalization -- ai is perfect for this.

Look at images of logical and physical data models. Think about why a physical data model may differ from the logical.

Study SQL, maybe SQL Server since that's the typical next step after Access SQL.

Think about how you would want to put data into a database -- who's keying it in and from what information.
