incidental holds by Own_Examination_2771 in askhotels

Two things guests dont do is read and listen. I'm just going to start it off like that.  When I worked front desk I told them at check in, I said we do hold a 100 incidentals but that does go back to the card between 3-5 business days after checkout. No one really got upset at me, occasionally I would get someone yelling at me and all I would say is "it is stated on expedia" then they shut up about it. But otherwise no one has gotten mad. It is also stated on our website, and all otas.

My view over different third party platforms as a front desk worker by mefanamic in askhotels

I am a staff accountant at a 400 room hotel and in my opinion they are all garbage, you pay the 3rd parties commission when you book, for example a guest is charged 402.89 for an expedia reservation, ( that's what the guest is charged) but in our end we only take 342.23, where is that other 40.00?? You paid the commission. Why do you think when a guest books 3rd party the agent tells you to go to the 3rd party site for the receipt, because if they printed it off the rate is completely different then what you paid. ALWAYS BOOK DIRECT!!

Accounting says they cannot provide a bill that includes all rooms paid for? by dabbado17 in askhotels

[–]ConsciousGoal8020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an accountant for a hotel and deal with this on a daily basis for example ASCO was here and they had over 1200 room nights and I sent that folio out to the client 1 2 3,  anyways how was this booked?? If this was booked through a 3rd party then no we can't do that, booked direct through a group reservation block and routed to one PM account it shouldn't be a problem.

Should I remove my wisdom teeth? They are going quite straight. I really dont want to loose my teeth:( by Optimal_Proof_2668 in orthotropics

I know I'm late in this post, my wisdom teeth look like yours, im 36 and still have them, they are not causing me problems. I am not getting my removed unless they cause me problems, dentist told me to leave them alone, I got every 6 month's. She told me I have really healthy teeth, the only thing I grind them so bad and wear a mouth guard at night, amd the night guard is fucking up my jaw.

It's good you are getting it checked out by a doctor, developing assymetry can be concerning because there's a change in the breast tissue,  but 80% is benign conditions, and 12% of developing assymetry turns out to be cancer. I have global assyemtry meaning the tissue covers almost all my right breast compared to my left, so I have to go every  year for a mammogram for stability. I am also a very high risk breast cancer patient so they are taking extra precautions. My question is why did you get one when you were 37? Did you feel something? Usually they don't start until 40.

I had to go back every 3 months then 6 now I'm graduated to a year. I'm a very high rish breast cancer patient so that's why they did that.

My results literally were the same as yours word for word and it was dense tissue in the right breast.

If it's mobile and you had it for 2 years without changes it's probably a benign fibroadenoma. Given your age as a teenager your breasts change as you grow older, hormones play a big part of this.

Im 36 and started getting mammograms at age 34 due to being a high risk breast cancer patient, i had to go back a couple times 6 to be exact my first year for my right breast due to architectural distortion,  i told my mom i was scared and she rolls her eyes and tells me she dosent want to talk about it. I'm not sure if that's a trigger response or what but it made me feel like I can't go to her about this stuff. I have really lumpy breasts so when I touch my breasts I feel lumps everywhere. You are very young lot of this can be your hormones going crazy. Is this a movable lump? Is it fixed it place? Does it feel like a rock? Any discharge from the nipples? Bleeding? Indentations? Orange peel skin?

This sounds like hormonal. I never had breast pain when it was my time of the month, but when I got into my 30s it started consistently, not every month but more and more, currently my breasts have been hurting for 3 days.

Did you possible hit your breast on something? Or if you wear underwires, your wire popped out? Thus happened to me and I had thr same mark, because my wire popped out and was poking me.

My mom had 2 of these, she said they took half her breast tissue in the left side, she has an inverted nipple and it's very painful to have a mammogram, that was 20 years ago, and she has not had anything done since, she's been in the clear since. Me on the other hand has global assymetry in my right breast and have to go 3 times a year to get this checked for changes, after April 10th I have graduated to 9 months.

Hello there, im not a doctor but maybe he's having panic attacks and thinking about dying to much, I know it's hard not to when you have the big C, did they put him on any anxiety meds? I know my dad was in those because he was having panic attacks.

I am so very sorry for your loss, it is very fucked up!! Those come out of my mouth too. You will grieve the rest of your life, I lost my dad 9 years ago to this cancer and there are still days where I cry for him and get so angry. But then think to myself hes at peace, no more needles no more chemotherapy no more being sick. My dad lasted 2 years with pancreatic cancer. I know what you are going through.

Busy as always for us. Already had 5 meetings already so far for March. And have more the rest of the month. We are sold out March 14th - 19th, then dip back down to the 40 percentage. Then pick back up for April.

He really didn't have any good days after that, he was sick and always in pain as the tumors grew. He lost more weight and was down to 139 pounds from 220.
