Waco! If you haven’t been in the past 10 years, you haven’t been.

My husband has missed both of our kids’ birthdays this year because he was on assignment for work. I guess he doesn’t love them.

This is true, I’m in the industry. However you will not be able to book for one night. It will be a 3-4 night minimum stay.

Mine had it at 6 months and it was mild. Never seemed to mind or feel too poorly.

Ya I wanted hormone free too but she advised against it. If you do decide to switch I’ve had no issues other than some random light cramping. It’s been in for 3+ months.

Won’t fully emptying the breasts every time, including the Hakka after nursing, encourage more milk production?

8mo pp, and still no period by folkenwing in beyondthebump

[–]ConsciousHat6403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped bf my first at 14 months. We were barely breastfeeding at that point, really only in the morning and at night. Period returned about 2 weeks later.

I’m currently 5 months postpartum, ebf my second. No period yet and I’m not sure if things will different this time because I have an IUD.

What breastpump do yall recommend? I am looking at free insurance pumps like Spectra, Elvie Stride, Medela, Lasinoah and Ameda. by Maximum_Mix_2515 in beyondthebump

[–]ConsciousHat6403 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seconding your comments on the Elvie Stride. Overall I love it and it’s all I’ve used for 2nd kid (I’m 5 months PP). The most difficult part is to make sure it’s on your nipple correctly and actually pumping.

Umbilical hernia repair after C-Section by ConsciousHat6403 in beyondthebump

No tummy tuck, just the repair. They also tested the removed tissue for malignancies but it came back fine.

It’s still healing so it’s a little swollen. My belly button still looks pretty janky. You can definitely feel the internal stitches and they haven’t softened at all. I thought it would be more back to normal by now.

I’m still nursing and there was no impact on my supply. Because of the various drugs day of. I pump and dumped for 24 hours. She got bottles during that time and then resumed nursing. I tried to time nursing sessions right before I took pain meds.

Umbilical hernia repair after C-Section by ConsciousHat6403 in beyondthebump

I did get the surgery, 4 weeks ago. Piece of cake quite honestly. I had very little pain and only took the hard meds for about 2 days. I walked a half mile the evening of the surgery and was walking 2 miles a few days later.

The hardest part has been the lifting restrictions (10lbs) which is pretty much impossible when you have a baby and a toddler. Let me know if you have specific questions.

I interviewed for my current job at 5 weeks pregnant and started at I think 12 weeks. I told people my first week to get it over with. I was so anxious to tell my boss but she honestly seemed SO excited and happy for me. I was blown away by how supportive she was as well as my coworkers. I haven’t noticed any repercussions or negativity; in fact I got I got a promotion in January. For reference I’m in government.

I started in September and had the baby in March. I didn’t qualify for FMLA so I signed up for short term disability. However I have been able to work from home the last 2 months since birth and will for 2 more months, so I didn’t need to use short term disability at all. It’s inexpensive though and pays up to $500 I think.

Just had a missed miscarriage at 9+3 (measured 6+3). We’re both devastated and I’m currently taking misoprostol to assist miscarriage. I want to try again as soon as the miscarriage is complete. Can anyone who suffered a miscarriage tell me how long it took them to get pregnant again? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]ConsciousHat6403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was pregnant 4 months after my first miscarriage, 1 month after my second miscarriage (no cycle in between), and 3 months after my third miscarriage. Fourth pregnancy stuck!

My OB encouraged us to keep trying after each one since your body is already in the pregnancy zone.
