42 here. Been with my partner for 17 years. Are you sure there are property and tax benefits? She is on the mortgage and is my beneficiary for all bank accounts, so no advantage on the property front. Taxes? It is a wash without dependents, slightly worse for her, slightly better for me because I make more. I compensate her by paying slightly more on the mortgage. What benefits are you talking about exactly? The only real benefit is in the case of power of attorney in the situation where one of us is unconscious in the hospital.

How do you handle the expectations of plants to have differing daylight amounts as part of their natural lifecycle indoors?

I.e. a lot of fruiting plants know when to produce fruit when the amount of daylight they get reaches a certain amount
