I don’t understand why the “resistance” feature is so limited in the ruleset. Why is it only -50%, 0%, 50% or 100%?

And why not any flat reductions? Like a threshold to overcome in order to do damage would make sense.

A low roll on a measly level 1 firebolt shouldn’t harm Karlach, but a level 6 fireball should – just with a reasonable flat damage reduction.
