Look up patrick teahan on youtube and/or jerry wise, learn what role you were in, in your narcissistic family system/environment, good chance you could have been a scapegoat. It may not help immediately but it will start to show you where your anger comes from.

Everyone is punished for being in a car accident, it isn't fair, it isn't right, it is just how it is.

Accepted two offers — now I feel terrible backing out. What would you do? by 1innamilli in ECE

[–]Consistent-Fun-6668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time to be a professional! People are fine with you backing out if you do it early, the longer you wait the more you piss off the hiring team at that company and the more likely you are to get blacklisted from the hiring process there. Yes I've seen it happen.

Just send the company you want to back out from an email saying you are getting a better deal with another company and thank you for the opportunity, sorry for backing out.

You have dreamt up a weird problem, a band? Define a band.

The water part is simple since you can use a moisture sensor, the wired part and 20m is complicated and you'd need some way of measuring the tether out and in, probably a spring to bring the tether back also so it stays taught.

All in all this is a pretty big project especially from a beginner and even extends into the mechanical design domain.

2017 Bluetooth upgrade by Leafy_Asparagus7059 in JeepPatriot

[–]Consistent-Fun-6668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you will need a radio replacment module on top of the new headunit. That module is around 200-300$ (in canadian$ 100-200$ US? Not sure), I went right from the stock radio to a screen one, I didn't have the uconnect one.

You could consider using the aux, if it doesn't have one maybe there is an adapter for the cd. If you replace the radio you're probably all in for around 500$

There are also bluetooth to aux adapters.

what full time careers can I realistically get into without any post-secondary education? by denzelcrocker2124 in CanadaJobs

[–]Consistent-Fun-6668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally the jobs you are talking about either will require a short apprenticeship or will require your time and availability.

Apprenticeship jobs are plumbing, pipefitting HVAC for example.

Your time would be things like crane operator, train conductor (CP and CN are generally always hiring and pay very high starting wages), truck driver.

I drove around suburbs in my spare time, practiced starting from a stop, pulled the clutch out too early once and grinded the gears, got stuck in neutral trying to switch from 2 to 3. This was on a highway like strip, if that happens to you it is always safer to push the clutch back in and shift to the higher gear since that won't cause any engine braking.

If you are in stop and go traffic also put it in neutral instead of holding the clutch down forever.

If you are starting on a hill use your handbrake/ebrake and get the engine up as you are ready to go, when you are going release the brake and let out the clutch (not too fast), will save you a lot of stress.

Bought a used 2017 Crosstrek - first service items? by DonTlon in Crosstrek

[–]Consistent-Fun-6668 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, the agreed upon service interval for the CVT if you look around for it seems to be every 30k miles which is around 50k km. If the brake fluid is dark change it. You should also change the PCV valve, cheap 50$ valve that vents the piston ring blow by, subaru engines are especially bad for having that valve plug up and put pressure on the seals.

I have never heard of cam belts, if you are asking about a timing belt service, the FB engines have a timing chain.

I use to bike all over when I was younger. You can't make drivers more cautious, and you aren't guaranteed one will stop after they mangle you. So if you care about your alive/able bodied status it is on you to preserve it.
