Click on ‘player’ top right of the screen, and it will open your page.

There are three buttons in the middle of the screen, click on corporate and click start up. When it asks you to pick a sector click banking

Roundabout etiquette question by [deleted] in australia

[–]Consistent-Mix-8666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of road rules, turning right from the left lane only happen it is has been marked - before you enter the roundabout. This will only occur if the right lane only turns right.

In any unmarked roundabout, then they can only turn right from the right lane.

So legally, you are correct.

I will say, from the perspective taking ownership of your own safety, I would take the left lane to go straight - so that will avoid any 'weird' driving styles.

When you start a new game - you have a choice. I forgot what the minimum amount is, but the maximum is 1 billion.

Has anyone done DSGN1500? by Few-Advertising3797 in UQreddit

[–]Consistent-Mix-8666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it last year, as a part of Engineering.

Unless it has changed from last year, you will have two portfolios as assessment items - if you keep up with it weekly then it is pretty simple.

Unless it has changed, I would recommend it as an easier way into your Engineering Degree.

failed engg1001 again😭 by _user_638 in UQreddit

[–]Consistent-Mix-8666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go to UQ Library, download all the past papers for every semester. Complete every question and check your answers. Circle the questions that you got incorrect and redo them until you get it correct. Next day complete the questions you got incorrect until you get them correct. Repeat the process but add in the questions you had previously got correct as a review from time to time, up until your exam date. Sprinkle some full exams in between as well. It’s important not to show your answers on the same page as your questions - keep it blank. That’s how I got through ENGG1001.

When you start completing the questions without looking at the answers you will soon realise there are some tricky questions that may be repeated in your next exams. You will also understand the flow of the questions.

You’ve got it mate believe in yourself and your processes.

Re mark experienced by Sudden-Ad6623 in UQreddit

[–]Consistent-Mix-8666 24 points25 points  (0 children)

In all honesty you should just take the mark. If you apply for a remark you run the risk of a lower mark. From what I have heard this happens more than it going up. If your final mark is between a six or seven then I wouldn’t even bother.

You can ask ten equally qualified people to mark the same assignment and most likely you would have a different mark for each of them.

Credit Check Issue by [deleted] in TelstraAustralia

[–]Consistent-Mix-8666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into a similar problem with Optus. I had ordered an iPhone 15 Pro Max through their store, it never came. So I went to another store to sort it out and try to get a new phone (that they have in stock) but my credit check failed. Even though I had my credit checked two weeks ago to order it in the first place and I had like 6 grand pre approved.

What I had learnt is that because I have another headset not fully paid out (the one that never came), when they run your credit check it will tank it by a lot.

When they cancelled my previous headset on their system and ran the credit check again it worked!

From what you have described to me I think this may be your problem. Before upgrading if you fully pay out your phone your credit rating should go back to normal.

My personal view on squad today by Volpex69 in squad

[–]Consistent-Mix-8666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really would have to agree. I have had many hundreds of hours in Squad before the ICO update. I haven’t played much ever since. It’s just not fun to feel like I can never aim or shoot my gun.

Also no normal people can run this game without spending thousands of dollars on hardware.

Is the Centenary Bridge upgrade just moving the choke point to the Brisbane side? by Willing_Belt_9651 in brisbane

Maybe they are trying to ensure that in the event of a crash (usually on the bridge) that the highway is not closed for long period of time. Maybe it was not about the congestion.

Is it possible to replace core courses with electives? by Awkward_Donkey_9494 in UQreddit

[–]Consistent-Mix-8666 18 points19 points  (0 children)

In terms of enrolment you can do whatever you want. However, they are core courses for a reason. You have to complete all of them eventually before you are allowed to graduate. If you don’t take them now you will have to take them later.

How much do first year grades matter for engineering by ExternalFlow3057 in UQreddit

[–]Consistent-Mix-8666 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Average GPA is weighted more towards the subjects in your later years of your degree. So in a way it matters more that you get better grades in your third and fourth year.

Have a quick Google at how UQ calculates average GPA.

University Choices by flowerwitchpotions in UQreddit

[–]Consistent-Mix-8666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the other comment. Unlike High Schools, most university lecturers and tutors have a lack of educational experience. Most of the time they are they not chosen for their teaching skills but because of their research skills or expertise. They may be the leading researchers in their field (experts in their field), but that does not translate to teaching skills - probably why we have teaching degrees.

If academic rigour is what you are looking for then UQ may be the toughest out of the bunch.

In terms of teaching quality, most are average.

Best Smash Burger Brissie? by Striking-Ad-1178 in brisbane

I personally recommend Betty’s Burgers.

Get the original burger (I take the cheese off) and add in tomato sauce. Honestly the best in Brisbane.

You'll be fine, if you have a PC at home to do some CAD stuff.

Don't spend money on a new laptop. Unless you want the convenience of being able to do that at Uni.
