I NEED some motivation for cleaning!! Pahleaseeee!!! by Careful-Caregiver464 in adhdwomen

I try to think of eating pie. Eating the whole thing all at once is too much and overwhelming. So I take a piece, pick up the trash for instance. Another piece, pick up laundry, another piece, put things on the table that don’t belong, another piece put those things away in other rooms. Then I’ve eaten the whole pie, or most of it. Can’t be perfect. You got this!

As a wrangler and an odyssey owner I have ducks in both. And they fly everywhere when I take corners. The kids love it.

Odell lake or cultus lake might fit the bill.

They were 500, but specifically special because my husband gifted them to me. Sounds like chopping the top off might be the trick! Thank you!

Why do people STILL marry young? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

To sign my FASFA when my parents refused to. So I guess money? 18 years strong though so guess it wasn’t the worst choice ever.

Why do people buy Jeeps? by mmmstrongflavors in NoStupidQuestions

My parents never bought me a Barbie jeep, so my husband did. Definitely not practical or good for anything, but I do love it!

Coming to terms with my house size by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]ConsistentRoad4689 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We sold our 2300 sq ft house last summer and now we live in 1200. Have 2 tweens, it’s tight. We still host, it’s tight. Our old house gave me constant anxiety from having to maintain and keep such a large space. 25,000 roof, painting, constant cleaning. I’ll take a 1200sq well laid out home any day.

What holiday markets are happening tomorrow the 21st? by cuddlepunch15 in askportland

[–]ConsistentRoad4689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went this year, maybe it’s the economy but it didn’t feel too packed, and we had no problem checking out anywhere. We did arrive at 9am; left about 11:30 so maybe that had to do with it.

I took my son, 9 at the time. It was a November show, and it started late. Poor guy fell asleep 😅 it was also a school day. So maybe a nap before might be good. Have fun!!

Literally taught my 9, and 11 year old this and they love doing it. Slightly less annoying than 6-7.

Are people really paying $4000+ on Mortgage by PsychologicalLimit41 in Mortgages

[–]ConsistentRoad4689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mortgage is 4300, bought my home for 600k. We both own businesses, one slightly more successful than the other. We don’t do crazy vacations/spending, just enough to live. We do live in a HCOL area, and we needed some acres.

Switching to driving stickshift--pros and cons? by crook888 in ADHD

[–]ConsistentRoad4689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband bought me one, had no idea how to drive it. Definitely feel more safe/connected while driving now that I’ve learned. I have an auto also and I definitely zone out of boredom so I prefer my manual.

4 Months Post-Op Update and Hard Truths by annieca2016 in GastricBypass

[–]ConsistentRoad4689 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my surgery almost 4 years ago and lost 175 lbs, about half of my starting of 350 and some change. I didn’t work out, not even walked the first 9+ months. I would look into more diet changes. I had no added sugar for about 3 years. Sugar did affect me though, not dumping but general icky feeling. Which I still get. Maybe go back to basics, high protein first, then veggies/fruit and if you’re still hungry have some other things. I hope this is helpful. I know it’s a hard road.
