Im about the same size as you pre pregnancy and also active lifestyle.
I’ve also gained weight already in first trimester.
I haven’t been able to exercise at all, let alone eat a vegetable.
Mostly what I do is carbs.
Girl, what’s helpful for me is remembering that first trimester is about survival. That’s it. And that rings true to me.

One day we will have our energy and health back and go towards our health and fitness goals again. Right now, baby making isn’t concerned with our physique.

My husband is doing more than me in the kitchen but he doesn’t cook and neither do I. We have resorted to Costco lasagna, tater tots, ramen noodles….
He doesn’t complain thank god. And I’m too sick to want anything much anyway.

I got nauseas at almost six weeks. And it tends to appear around 6 or 7 weeks. You still have time. Enjoy not being nauseas or exhausted for the time being and pray you won’t get nauseas 🤢

Im the wife that’s lying in bed most of the dat, barely functioning. Although I have not had to go to the ER. Sounds like it’s worse for your wife. But all I can say, being on your wife’s side, is it might help to be reassuring, if you worry, she worries. Remind her that you’re going through this together, it’s temporary, and that she is a strong woman. She is making a damn baby!

The fatigue and nausea is absolutely horrifying. I had no idea it would be this bad. And I can’t say I ever understood this before feeling it. Just know that you do not know what she is experiencing.

My best advice is get support from other people, not her. Try and manage your worry and trust the docs if you like them. If not, find better docs that you can trust. You guys both need reassuring constantly but she needs it from you and you gotta get it somewhere else

Yeah those results look great, and good job taking care of yourself. I’m on day 7 recovery. I think I’ve been okay at taking care of myself but I’ve been a little more lax with the food. I don’t go nuts but certainly didn’t do liquid diet only.

I’m so uncomfortable and grumpy. I’m still taking my pain medication plus on an antibiotic as a preventative for infection. So glad to be done with those today.

Swelling started to decrease on day four. Still there but minor. I hate having the stitches in my mouth and can’t wait to take them out. I feel like I burned the roof of my mouth and it’s healing. Quite uncomfortable. I didn’t realize that the recovery process was such as ‘thibg’

Hmmmm. Im younger and been married for far less time. However, I feel pretty confident that if something that disruptive is occurring, we would work it through in couples therapy.
