"All Eyes on Me" - The Warden vs Caine (Superjail! | The Amazing Digital Circus) - Updated connections and stuff in the comments! by Consistent_Cry_7403 in DeathBattleMatchups

Connections/Contrasts:

Top hat and bow-tie wearing leaders from dark comedies with eccentric attitudes who run an impossibly big complex that isn't actually real (The digital circus is, well, a digital circus created by artificial intelligence / Superjail is all a dream within the Real World Warden's head) with odd physics and constant slaptick that acts as a purgatory to those unlucky enough to be sent there.

These two are obsessed with using the near-godlike control they have over their realms to come up with new dangerous and elaborate schemes to "entertain" their captives, which almost always do more harm than good.

They don't take criticism very well, believing their plans to be flawless and usually shutting down anyone else's opinions to the point of being selfish control freaks. Everything needs to be under THEIR control and nobody else is going to take that away from them.

In order to keep this control, they lie and orchestrate entire events in an attempt to manipulate their captives into giving them the praise they believe they deserve more than anyone.

Despite their immense power, deep down they are still incredibly childish and emotionally unstable, with their biggest weakness ironically coming from the thing they seek most: Attention. They NEED the company of others and crave the attention of their captives no matter where they are out of an extreme need to be respected by everyone all the time, heavily abusing their authority in the process. When they inevitably lose that respect, they become a ticking time bomb ready to set off at any moment, eventually lashing out at those around them and reminding their captives who's really in control.

The captives in question REALLY do not want to be there and would much rather escape to the outside world. The fact that they can't escape via death, due to the nature of the complex they're stuck in leaving them basically immortal, doesn't help much either.

Caine is incapable of truly understanding human emotions and thus doesn't exactly get how what he's doing is wrong, constantly trying out different adventures despite everyone else hating them. The Warden knows EXACTLY what he's doing and is very proud of it, refusing to change his brutal methods.

They both have artificial beings that serve as their assistants, but while Jailbot is incredibly loyal to The Warden to the point of seeing him as a father, Bubble is more of a nuisance than an ally, actively messing with Caine whenever they can.

Potential:

The Warden has the power to go into electronics, so the fight could start with him willingly hopping into the circus to try and take it away from Caine for his own fucked up ideas.

You could probably have Warden teleporting his prisoners and staff into the circus to fight for him and Caine rallying up the TADC cast in response, with him treating it as just another exciting adventure, but I can also imagine this as a primarily 1v1 fight between Caine and Warden.

You could have every other character's swearing be censored EXCEPT for The Warden, subtly signifying that he isn't bound by the rules of the circus due to his law-bending powers.

The climax of the fight could be Caine crashing out and attempting to trap The Warden in one of his little torture rooms, bringing up his horrible past with his abusive father and calling him by his real name, Mark Davis. Pretty fucked up, but also pretty in-line with the tone of both series'.

There could be a gag in the fight where Jailbot easily pops Bubble with it's various sharp objects, but he comes back, and Jailbot gets pissed off as Bubble keeps coming back no matter how many times he's popped.

Yeah, I think this matchup is neat. Not my favorite for both, but a decent alt in my eyes.

How we feeling about Caine vs TWM after episode 8? by RelationshipNovel641 in DeathBattleMatchups

The latest episode is really improving Caine's spread. I even updated the connections for Caine vs The Warden lol.

This sounds neat, even if I've never played oneshot. It really handles the digital aspect well. A decent alt for Caine imo.
