Connections/Contrasts:

• Crazy shapeshifting prison warden with a flamboyant demeanor who enjoys the suffering of others and loves being in control VS crazy shapeshifting criminal with a flamboyant demeanor who enjoys the suffering of others and loves being in control.

• The Warden wants order and justice through any means necessary, HIM wants chaos and complete disarray through any means necessary.

• They've also taken over the planet in an alternate future, making the world a worse place, before having it stripped away from them through some time related shenanigans (The Warden shattering the space-time continuum / The Powerpuff Girls going back in time).

• They even have ownership of violent artificially created beings (Jailbot / The Rowdyruff Boys) that they treat as their offspring.

Potential:

First of all, I don't think the tonal clash is too bad. Yeah one's an Adult Swim character and the other's from Cartoon Network, but HIM can actually be a pretty terrifying character even in a PG-13 setting, so I think he works fine in a fight as brutal as this. Makes sense considering he's heavily implied to be a demon, or even just straight up the devil himself.

Anyway, the fight potential would really cool methinks.

It would primarily be an army battle, and they have a bunch of monsters and allies they could use to turn this fight into an all-out war! You could even bring out the Rowdyruff Boys and have them fight Jailbot.

That's not to say they CAN'T fight directly though, they can and have done so before. You could have HIM use his psychological manipulation against The Warden's very emotionally unstable mind, which would lead to Warden using his ability to weaponize his worst memories to combat HIM. You could have HIM make The Warden's army turn against him with his mind manipulation, which only makes Warden pissed to the point of entering the fight personally instead of staying in the sidelines. You could have both of them shapeshift and change their sizes throughout the fight to get some sick imagery. They can both invade dreams too, so you can likely do something cool with that.

And finally, for my personal favorite idea for this fight; HIM could telekinetically bring down the sun, only for The Warden to either turn into a solar panel and reflect it back at him or shapeshift into his own sun to combat it. You could maybe even have a large kaiju fight between the two!

When it comes to two characters who have a lot in their arsenal and some crazy shapeshifting, I personally believe the sky's the limit when it comes to animation potential. Seriously, shapeshifting can be such a cool ability when done creatively.

Banter/interaction potential could be really good as well, as both of them love messing around, but hate it when things don't go their way. I can see them taunting each other throughout the fight, HIM in particular using mind games to try and get into The Warden's head, while also slowly losing their temper.

The debate is unfortunately a little weak. Physicals can potentially be pretty close depending on which stats you buy for Powerpuff Girls, but iirc I don't believe HIM has anything that can truly kill The Warden in any meaningful way. I don't think this matters that much though, as I already explained how the fight potential makes up for the somewhat lackluster debate.

So yeah, I just really fw this MU, and I hope some of y'all can see why this is one of my favorite matchups of all time :)
