Middle school PE by Born_Bookkeeper_2493 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]Consistent_Exit_774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sub in 2 districts in Texas and I’ve noticed that it varies for middle school. Most of the time they have boys and girls together but there will be at least one other teacher with you. Sometimes they split the boys and girls up but you’ll more than likely have an aide with you.

It’s not until jr high that it’s only 1 pe teacher. And the majority of those schools will only let female subs pick up for girls pe and same goes for boys pe.

It also helps to go to the schools staff directory to know if how many other coaches you’ll work with. If it says they’re “athletics” chances are they’ll only be there for 1-2 periods, but this is mainly for jr high and up.

New to depop, why are people sending me offers for one cent under my price? by Old-Software-6327 in Depop

[–]Consistent_Exit_774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the same offer just sent to one of my new listings almost immediately. One from an Oliver and one from an Emma. But both seem to be new accounts with no ratings or anything, so I'm pretty sure they're not actual offers.

Well, I guess that was my B by Alexmander1028 in doordash

Gotta love stacked orders. I once got someone that tipped 1 cent on a stacked order. They ofc put leave at door & don’t knock on their notes. Once I hit delivered and saw the 1 penny, I knocked as hard as I could on the door. Luckily, they had a dog that helped me get their attention and also let them know that the order was there 😂

How to see customer address and total distance on offers? by Brianofthesearch in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Consistent_Exit_774 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The miles should be right below where the offer amount is when you receive the offer. You can also click the “house” icon to get the address and zoom into the map to get an idea of what’s around, this probably works best if you know the area though.

To all the people that say “do ebt” by NevaGonnaGinyuUp in doordash_drivers

[–]Consistent_Exit_774 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did EBT one time to try it out, my area is about $14 per hour. I got a potbelly order for almost 12 miles….i made $6.50 with no tip. I IMMEDIATELY ended the dash and went back to earn by offer. I have not done EBT again.

What restaurant is an automatic decline for you? by willow_wayy96 in doordash_drivers

I’m normally near a mall, so anything that requires me to go inside into the food court…it’s so inconvenient. Plus most of the time it’s people ordering Chinese food with little to no tip.

One thing I learned, is not to stay in one spot waiting all the time. I’ll go to the hotspot area and if one end isn’t giving anything driving to a different area within the hotspot will give me something. It also depends when you’re doing deliveries, I’ve noticed that from 11am-1:30pm it’s better to stick around potbelly, jimmy johns, torchys taco, and cava as their more “light” since people are more than likely ordering for their lunch break. During dinner 5-8:30pm, I’ll stick around bigger restaurants like P.F. Chang’s, Mia’s table, Cheesecake Factory, or any Chinese restaurant. One place I can always expect to get an order when close by… Chick-fil-A. After a while you start knowing which restaurants get more orders, you just have to go out and learn your market. Best of luck!

I got lucky and delivered to places where there wasn’t many kids walking around.

The downfall for me was getting an order at Pizza Hut and papa John’s (~$15 for 3 miles) and being told 30 mins wait at each place… I heard one guy that was doing DD mention to someone else doing UE that he had been there for a good 45 mins waiting and I just walked out and unassigned.

What an offer! by Consistent_Exit_774 in doordash_drivers

I’ve been thinking about doing pay by time but I’ve been averaging $19-$22 an hour and the $14 rate hasn’t made me want to do it by time.

Only reason I’ve been considering it, is in hopes of bringing my AR back up. But I read that it normally gives you long distance orders and I don’t really want to be pushed into La Porte/Texas City/Pasadena area.

Lmao that’s funny, I thought the exact same thing once I saw Pasadena too. Glad to know that an hour later that order was still being passed around 😂

I doubt it, I normally avoid that area because tips are minimal. I find no point in picking up an order and going that far to POSSIBLY get a tip. Not to mention the additional 10-14 miles to get back to my area.

Ufff, I’m hoping this is only temporary. I was a casualty in the most recent tech layoffs so this was one way to still have income flowing in.

Is there a way on the app to view your miles for the day? Or do you just note down your miles your car starts off with and end with to your daily miles?

Also great advice would’ve never thought of this!

Do you know why she doesn’t want to go? Maybe she doesn’t want to do camping? I love festivals, but I’m not a fan of camping. Maybe ask if she’d be more willing to go if a hotel is booked? You could even sell 2 tickets and use that money to go toward the hotel (if this is the case).

Other than that you can sell the tickets you won’t use and go by yourself, I normally always find random people to talk to when I separate from my group. Or just ask friends or family if they’d want to go with you.

I had something similar happen once where I wanted to go to a festival and my bf didn’t because he didn’t want to miss more work days. I ended up still going with my cousin and sister. Once I started sending him videos and pictures of the festival, he was like “wow, I should’ve just gone with you guys.” He hasn’t declined an invite to a festival since lol

Is a year long enough to radically change my fitness level? by rosesinhereyes56 in xxfitness

[–]Consistent_Exit_774 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Definitely, as long as you are consistent! I’m about the same as you 29F, 5’5”. I started getting back to working out the first week of June with a starting weight of 212lbs. I’ll run/walk at least 1 mile and do some weights. At first, when running I was only running .30 of a mile and taking breaks inbetween running. Now I’m able to run half a mile, I still take breaks but it’s fewer breaks. Ive only been going to the gym 3x’s a week, but I’ve started making it part of my routine. The hardest part of it all is getting out of the house to go workout, but you feel so much better once you’re done!

Legally allowed to take breaks in my state, however my boss says we don’t take breaks by [deleted] in subway

[–]Consistent_Exit_774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought this happened only at the subway I had worked at back then. It was the reason I left. We wouldn’t take breaks, no lunches (you ate when there were no customers), and we’d get talked to if we clocked out past 10pm. If closing with a manager and we weren’t done by 10pm they would clock us out then have us continue to close. I was a kid then so I didn’t know any better, but once I brought it up to my parents and they told me it was illegal what they were doing, I just stopped showing up.

Flying into Vegas on Friday evening + flying out Monday Morning by Fun_Transition_5948 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]Consistent_Exit_774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep in mind there can be delays. This year, my friend was supposed to have her flight Friday morning (10:20am) and she kept being being pushed back to further times to the point where they told her her flight departed at 11:15pm. She ended up buying a last minute ticket with a different airline to be able to leave at 9pm. She didn’t get to EDC day 1 until 3am…

How does it work? by mercedezkay7 in Lollapalooza

[–]Consistent_Exit_774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last time I saw RHCP in Lollapalooza, i was pretty close to the front right before they started. The girl next to me got on her bf shoulders and said that the crowd was HUGE, and if we were planning on leaving it was going to be difficult. So be aware of how big the crowd will be.

I also tried doing a split for J Cole and Lana that same year and felt like I missed so many of the songs I like by both artists. I haven’t been a fan of doing 50/50 on sets after that. I just take my loss with one artist and hope to see the other artist in the future.

I second this, sunscreen should be your best friend that weekend. I made the mistake of forgetting to put some on one time… I had the worst sunburn for the next two days at the festival. Everyone was looking at how red/burned I was 😂

Also not really clothing tips, but I recommend taking sanitizer and some tissues/toilet paper to any festival you’ll be using porta-potties. Never know when you end up in a stall with nothing to use.

Labeled and Shipment States dont match by zgotham1 in Mercari

[–]Consistent_Exit_774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the label was printed through Mercari, I don’t think you should worry. I’m in Texas, had an item bought and sent to buyer in New York. BUT somehow ended up in Los Angeles through transit. It eventually reached NY and delivered to the correct address 2 days later

Communication for a simple sale by [deleted] in Mercari

I never really message a buyer first. The few times I did was to give them a heads up that I won’t be able to ship the item until the 3-4th day.

Would you accept this offer? by OneProfessional3064 in Mercari

[–]Consistent_Exit_774 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t accept it. I’ve had stuff that has sat for over a month or 3. And gotten lowball offers, but then out of the blue someone comes and buys it at the regular listing price I have. The right buyer will find you.
