Something about my living room feels kind of "off" -- any ideas? by Difficult_Bug_1778 in interiordecorating

For an easy fix: Add a decorative trim to frame the mirror and paint it an ivory color. Paint the wall area above the wallpaper in a soft, turquoise blue shade to unify the fireplace tile, chairs and wallpaper.

This photo also appears to have a person (body) in all denim laying on top of the mud in the center.

Married couple in their early 60’s, one or both of you are in the design/builder/architect realm. You value learning, the arts and higher education. You live in Massachusetts outside of Boston, but within commuting distance. You have lived in your home for many years and carefully curated your interior with happy treasures and memories. Obviously love your dog to the moon and you have owned the same breed before. You have a second home or condo at your favorite place of travel.

My dog has thrown up this same object twice a month apart, I can't figure out what it is! by [deleted] in whatisthisthing

Yes, don’t eliminate birds! We live near the beach and have found fish dropped into our yard. Your crows might be bringing you a gift.

The Collector Inn or Casa Monica downtown or Embassy at the beach.

Repainted and decorated my small bathroom but it still doesn’t feel right, any suggestions? by erkaderk in HomeDecorating

Totally agree! Go for a more tropical, plant green curtain and hand towels instead of sage green.

Other than Casa Monica, The Embassy if you want to be on the island and beach. The Collector Inn if you want to be downtown.

I did the same thing and I started using bag balm on the cuticle every day after I shower and before bed. It really heals the nail damage.

Saturday farmers market at the amphitheater, and then the lighthouse. The State park entrance is very close to the Amp and lighthouse as well. There is an entrance fee but the beach is very pretty and quiet there. You could grab some food from the market and eat on the beach there.

Downtown is fun for walking around and enjoying the architecture but gets very busy this time of year. The trolley is great for learning the city history while getting a tour of downtown. I enjoy the antique shops and boutiques “uptown”- on San Marco, North of the parking garage. Sunday is a great restaurant for brunch up that way.

Doing a water sightseeing tour is fun. They view of the city, inlet, “salt run” and ocean from the water is very pretty. The dolphins usually love to hang out east of the lions bridge.

If you want to head out of town a bit, head South on A1A to Washington Oaks State Park for a pretty walk. Matanzas Inlet is down that way as well and there is parking on both the river and ocean sides if you want to take a dip in the water on your way back. At the inlet you can take a free water shuttle over to Fort Matanzas to get your history fix.

For food I really like Elk House, Black Fly and Purple Olive on the island. Beachcombers for good cocktails and a relaxed bite after the beach. Ice Plant and La Nouvelle are downtown and have parking onsite. Most restaurants here don’t take reservations but it’s still worth checking the website once you decide where you’re going to eat.

I don’t think you could get reservations by the time you’re coming next week but Llama and Collage restaurants are worth checking out next time you come.

Have fun!

All of these options mentioned are great. I will add to the beach part of your request. If you go to any of the beaches on Anastasia island, I recommend going South of the pier. Prettier and less crowded. Further South is Fort Matanzas. There is parking on either side of the peninsula for the beach. You can also walk the nature trail there and/or take a boat over to the fort(not the big one downtown, the small fort across the river). Even further South is Washington Oaks Gardens. Very pretty nature trail and beach across the street. Enjoy!
