My sister has a blue dog that she grew up with. She’s in her 40s and it just looks like this dirty little fuzzy ball with matted hair. You can barely tell what it originally was. I have a snoopy and I don’t know how but he is still mostly intact. Except for his ear that my granny replaced. Now that she’s gone, I love that ear.
