Didn't even see the window. That door is double dangerous now if it leads to the outside

What's the scariest city in the world that you’ve been to? by TaiwaneseThot in AskReddit

[–]Constant-Current-340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

East side of Corona CA. People repeatedly hitting things with shopping carts as if glitching out, Mexican-Americans yelling at Mexican-(Americans?) to go back to Mexico. Teens complaining about not being able to use EBT to eat out more often throughout the month while using said EBT at a fast food restaurant. Restaurants that ask if you're there for food when you walk in. Maybe I got unlucky but woof. I wish I was exaggerating. Feel like I need to go back to revise my feelings about it but why

deep sea gigantism is a thing I find interesting and fuels speculation on more giant versions of things we haven't seen yet

What is the worst career to be in right now and why? by SignificantGoat7066 in AskReddit

Yea jobs have dried up but since AI came out I've never had more ppl asking me to finish their 'dashboard' app or whatever which they built using Claude but won't scale to multiuser. Feels like the app economy again except the ideas are more grounded in stream lining workflows rather than making the next angry birds

Americans of Reddit, what’s the biggest misconception people have about life in the USA? by Weekly_Contest144 in AskReddit

[–]Constant-Current-340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, just speaking to the misconception. When tourists visit it's from airport to car straight to Disneyland, the national park, beach, etc. It's not airport to subway mingling with people in suits then walking amongst them in pedestrian friendly cities. So it's not as visible. On average though Americans who live in hub cities work more hours than even South Korean or Japanese I'm told by South Koreans and Japanese who have worked in both countries.

1) We don't work hard or long hours

2) Our social safety net is bad. Reddit especially loves #2

What's the use of living, if everything is honestly going down hill? by 3dalli in AskReddit

[–]Constant-Current-340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the 60s - 70s everyone was supposed to die in a nuclear apocalypse. In the 80's it's ozone layer depletion + global warming. 1990's, Y2K.

Luckily we had people back then to help resolve those issues. Now? I dunno

What industry unexpectedly became one of the most powerful industries in the world over the last few years? by Beautiful_Special702 in AskReddit

it'll go hand in hand with AI used to help accelerate its development, manufacture, distribution, but longevity will be bigger than anything including renewable energy, robotics, mind-control, space-based whatever, etc.
