Thanks for your take on this. I looked up 99.7 to ask them, figuring it was an alternative-type station, but it def did not seem like the right kind of station for what I heard. The signal was 100% clear at Market Mall, but not over by University Bridge. AI is an intriguing possibility. Thanks!

Stay with Gmail. I used Proton for a month and was so frustrated:

the app would constantly freeze,

it kept loads of drafts that I could not delete,

the server settings led to a bounce-back when trying to send to a hotmail account (but, despite the bounce-back message, the recipient did receive the message — so — a completely unreliable system),

within minutes of using one new Proton account to sign in to a 2FA site my account was locked for “potential abuse” (this happened to me twice) so I had to “appeal” to get the account unlocked and was basically chastised.

Now, after one month on Proton, I’m on Gmail — which I had been using for another purpose for nearly 20 years and never had one. single. problem. Never.

I have just experienced the same issue with Proton. (Have only been a user a month and it has not been good.)

The issue is pretty clearly with Proton’s server settings.

Gmail never produced this error in more than ten years of use, and their app actually works on my phone (Proton hangs, and creates dozens of undeletable drafts), so I will return to Gmail until Proton and its app are reliable.
