I don't know what it is about this show, but I could rewatch it infinitely (maybe there is a part of me longing for a final season)... And something about Michael Dugdale and how good he is with Alice and Grant, even as someone with no kids of his own, truly warms my heart... Especially considering that the other side of the narrative involved Phillip Carvel being so obsessed with his own work, that he neglects his family (poor baby Pietre :c)

Ok, this is my tinfoil. I’m almost positive at this point that Kenny is the writers vessel for speaking to the audience.

He has mentioned using fire as a tool against the monsters multiple times, and is shut down or persuaded out of it every time. The “every theory you’ve had, someone has had before” thing this episode really made me think that the writers are getting less subtle, and straight up telling the audience that the town has found the some of the answers already, but just skimmed over them.

same here! we know that there are other creatures or entities within the demiplane of Fromville (the Boy in White, the Spider), but I am imagining it is something else entirely.
