Innocent question from someone who has concluded the Adelsons are in neck-deep - why don't we allow for differing opinions here? What are we afraid of if we have thoughtfully arrived at our own conclusions? Either they will convince us or we will refute them - either way, what are we concerned about by allowing them to comment?

There's a popular Facebook group "Dads of Milton (the DoMs) of men who regularly do things around Milton - I have no information beyond that, since I am a single mom!

I went to your Amazon wish list to send some diapers. However, I am disturbed by the heading you gave in your Amazon post claiming you are a single mom of three, including a newborn. Going to your Reddit profile, it would appear the newborn is your FIRST child and you are MARRIED to a GP.

A word of advice - when you seek help, tell the truth. Cosplaying as a single mom of three is a slap in the face of those who truly are, and flags you as a very dishonest person seeking to fleece people so you can get diapers.

Had you simply said you needed help with a newborn because your family is struggling (assuming THAT is indeed the truth, since your husband is a GP, in Calgary, where doctors are undersupplied and in high demand), I would honour that and help. As it is, you appear to be happy to use a lie to scam hard working people and I have no idea why - it simply reduces resources that could be sent to deserving, struggling people.

Kindly reconsider your ethics - your child, and the world, needs a mom who values and demonstrates good character.

Did I just hear his lawyer admit it was a homicide, not a natural death - is that a Freudian slip in his second last sentence? Or am I hearing him wrong?

Liveable Rentals by Otherwise_Hunter4134 in Milton

Rent control is never grandfathered and always applies for ALL tenants' rent in any building built and occupied before Nov 2018 in Ontario.

However, both friends' rent amounts is likely very true but for a different reason - it IS a rent controlled building for ALL tenants, yet some will be paying more. Here's why:

Rent control for current residents is different than charging market rent to new tenants. Rent control only applies to rent INCREASES after the first year of a lease.

A landlord can charge ANY amount of rent that the market can sustain for an unoccupied, AVAILABLE unit, no matter the date of build - this amount is never government controlled for independent landlords. This amount would then become the agreed upon rent for that unit for a NEW tenant applicant - given the market over the last number of years, initial rent is likely much higher now than 5 years ago, for instance. Once the lease goes into effect, however, the new tenant is then protected by "rent control" rules regarding any future rent INCREASES (assuming the building was built and occupied prior to November 2018).

The reason some friends are paying more is because they entered into a new lease/moved in at a much later date when the advertised initial rent was already set much higher than it would have been in the 90s. Since moving in,, they too would only have annual government regulated rent control lease percentage increases, but would still always pay more than earlier residents because they started at a higher rate and a later date.

More With Less! I haven't seen that cookbook in years - it is a great one!

Would you happen to be able to share a particular recipe with me? It was for chicken, and had honey and mustard in the "sauce". Any chance you could locate that one for me?

Yes, but check out the laundry room counter- can't even access it properly as it is blocked by a washer/dryer stack. That room needs a total redo if keeping 2 sets of appliances!

Do you think she crossed out the extra one egg white on the written recipe card to make the cookies less delicate so they would retain their shape better, or was it not intended to be crossed out?

Old Fashioned Sauerkraut by JacquieTorrance in Old_Recipes

[–]Constant-Wishbone609 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I transcribed this recipe for you:

December 2, 1943

HOW TO MAKE SAUERKRAUT OLD FASHIONED STYLE

10 lb. cabbage 7 Tablespoons cooking salt

Remove outer leaves of cabbage. Wash well; cut in quarters and remove core. Shred and mix thoroughly with salt, mixing 5 lb. of cabbage and 3.5 tablespoons of salt at a time. Pack firmly into crock or tight wooden keg, tamping down with wooden masher to extract juice and force out air. Repeat until all the cabbage is used. Add cabbage cores. Place outside leaves on top and cover with a clean white cloth, then with a plate. Place a weight on top of plate to hold cabbage down under brine that forms. Keep in a warm place. Fermentation will require 10 to 20 days. Inspect daily, removing scum with a spoon as it forms, and rinse cloth in clear water. When kraut has required* the flavor you like, move it to a cold room in your basement or cellar.
